I hear and read continually from Brian/Garth/Paul on Ask the Devs/NGNG Podcasts/Mechs, Devs, and Beer Podcast that there will be an updated post in the Command Chair regarding various issues. I know the Devs are busy, but a simply update on the Command Chair isn't too much to ask. This would be a little follow through that is actually accomplished. Please actually update your Command Chair posts- preferably before, or no later than, you post something on Twitter or say something on another site.

I think the real problem is they think they reach their target audience more effectively via twitter, and tweets can easily be chalked up to us misinterpreting them if there is QQ vs a full command chair post outlining what they said they would follow through with..

Ermagerd! The last Command Chair Update was June 11th! It's a conspiracy because they do the twitter and facebook!

Ask the Devs answers and the July Dev Update are just around the corner. Be patient. Most games out there don't even tell you what is coming until after they do a surprise patch, much less any sort of outline for months beyond that.

And I know that Syllogy- I'm not wanting them to update every day or anything. What I do want is some follow-through; if.they say that there will be a CC update, they should then actually do it.

Updates on any of the various weapons tweaks, Mech quirks, pilot skills, MM, etc...
Every time I hear Garth or Brian on NGNG say "There will be a Command Chair post by X or I'll see if X can write a CC post" I want to punch my monitor.

I remember the time that there was supposed to be an ECM Command Chair post... except Paul or Bryan "remembered" it months later after it being repeated enough times.

I totally agree with Lord Ikka.

He actually touches on a much larger problem with their marketing strategy in general - one that I am trying to work through myself and see it for what it is.

The fact that we as fans have to go anywhere else for news on this game is ridiculous. Used to be you could at least rely on the forums to show you what you've missed, but they were so scared of the amount of negative feedback they were getting that they shut down Gen Dis. Now, we have a million sub forums and no central place for anything. There should be a PG created spot for all of our news before, but we created it in the Gen Dis. Then they took that away and now there is nothing. Checking Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, NGNG, Podcasts, Front Page, Launcher, Forums (the thousand subforums of death), random articles scattered around the web and having NOTHING even REMOTELY a go-to place for all the news for MWO is RIDICULOUS and shortsighted.

Their ~marketing~ is going to kill this game, if nothing else. I am working on a write-up of this very thing and will post a link when complete. It is a huge problem and one that is killing them more than bad release schedules, absurdly high prices or an overall lack of direction for the game.

At the moment PGI use the "I'll do a command chair post" like a parent say's "We'll see" to a child wanting something. They say it to placate, when they know full well they will most likely not do it.
