Please update the leaderboard with these ideas in the next patch:

When you do ultimately end up updating the leaderboard (hopefully with ideas from the above thread), please reset the leaderboards back to zero until each player plays a reasonable amount of games (idea #1). Resetting the leaderboards will be especially important after idea #6 is implemented (as well as when idea #4 becomes trackable and separatable ). Idea #6 is very important.

Please keep MWO away from "pay to win".

Please implement the rest of the ideas I gave in an upcoming patch.

Thinking about it, while I wanted my request for PGI to reset the leaderboards after making changes to it to stand out, I should have just made an additional reply in the original thread stating/requesting what I just did in this thread.

Because leaderboards are an end game type feature.

Aka: Some form of purpose to playing the game that keeps you playing.

The least they can do if they are going to do anything is do it right. I mean, 4 week patch are going to be so good you dont even know.

People have different preferences when it comes to competition. This applies to any hobby, any sport or basically any other activity where competition is possible. Some people paint figurines because it helps them relax. Other people paint figurines to win competitions. Some people like to run because it helps them get in shape. Other people like to run because they want to win competitions.

And people compete for different reasons. Some people like to challenge themselves and consider it all about the personal journey. Some people use competitions as a source of motivation, it helps them set goals. Some people like to compete because they want to be the best at anything they do. Some people like to compete because it's just more fun for them that way.

There's no reason to judge people who are competitive. There's no reason to judge people who aren't.

Just live and let live.

Idea #7, give an opt out option.

Idea #8, make leaderboards only consider the latest 30 days of data or after few months everything will become frozen and useless.
