I'd be very happy if we get the standard Clan checkerboard so I can now have lore-appropriate mech camos.

90 decals at launch is not much. Over a third of those will just be letters and numbers (assuming a single font). Add in faction sigils for all the factions in the game right NOW, you're looking at more than half your decals taken up already.

This would be good because it would make them more meaningfull. Maybe some are tough to earn and things like that.

Faction decals are obvious.

I would like to see canon regimental decals.

17th Lyran Guards, 2nd Legion of Vega, 1st Tyr, so on and forth. That's the kind of stuff I've been painting my mechs to look like.

It'd also be nice if we could do layering with the decals, so that I could put one over another, as though it'd been salvaged from another faction and hastily painted.

ww2 style pin up art I'd shell out mc for. Custom art we can upload and once approved by a small set of rules like "no sex" from pgi allowed to be put on our mechs. I got a sexy swimsuit wearing cat girl waiting to be on the c1's missiles boxes. Artists allowed to make custom art to pgi rules such as no wangs etc would quickly add a lot of custom decals to the game and free up more of the art dept to do more important things.

That's a good guestimate seriously. I hadn't thought about it, but that seems about right for what to expect. Sounds good to me.

Add in the faction tags, which I think will look awesome on the mechs, that leaves quite a bit of room for I guess some kind of new decals of some sort.

90 is quite a bit of work to add to an entirely new feature.

You aware that decal will change nothing, you won't see it on yours owns mechs while fighting, yours opponents won't care at all and won't be able to see thoses while fighting.

Ok maybe on DC guys or overheating mechs we will see thoses until we damage the mech.

Me i don't care at all i would prefer more real content, a less stupid MM or a deeper FW mode but wait all thoses things requiere skills, a vision and cant be sold as mechpackage... ok forget it, decals are good improvement to the game.
