Hey there... What is going on?

Just had a team member get kicked from the servers to the lobby with a 15 minute ban


Reason given displayed as - No Reason.

Outside of some sort of automated TK/Team Damage ban that I'm not aware of (maybe trolling some PGI employee), I dunno.

Is he a Davion as well, perhaps using too many lurms.

Normally those bans happen when you try to join a queue, QP or FW. The most used reasons are team damage, TK, disconnecting from matches excessively.

The 3rd potential reason is another 'new PGI feature' added into the game every time we patch.

2. He hadn't had the opportunity to do team damage - thus to TK either.
3. It was his first match - thus the DC too much is a no as well.

Probably a penalty left over from the last time he played. I'm not sure why it was listed as "No reason" although he could have been fibbing about that. The penalties are assessed the next time you queue up, not when you receive the penalty. He probably got it for DC or Team damage the last time he played, and it didn't really affect him until his first game the next night with you.

I think the automod functions may have been going a little wonky recently. We were running an FP scouting group last week and, after several matches without incident, one of our guys got a 20-minute penalty out of the blue. No TKs, no excessive team damage, no bad behavior, or any other incident that could have justified it.

After waiting out the 20-minute penalty, he rejoined us for another drop and was automatically smacked with yet another 20-minute penalty immediately afterwards. Again, nothing had happened to justify the penalty, yet there it was. We sent a note to Tech Support, but not sure what became of it. At any rate, the OP's friend would not have been the only person to have the automod smack him around for no fathomable reason.
