So hero mechs are just ridiculously priced to the point where their just completely useless as prem time is more effective and heck of a lot more fun than being stuck to one mech so I asked what to do on the forums previously. Most told me to just buy some premium instead of outright buying mechs (The direwolf requires £50 worth of MC to get, and that's just for the champion variant. That's about $66 dollars at the moment, and just over £70 before the fall of the pound.) but I had one suggestion that told me to purchase the tournament support pack that gives a flat 10% bonus to c-bills until December. This seems like it's really not much at all compared to the 50% I would be getting from premium. I re-installed the game on the 7th of this month and started using a fresh account with only 1 mech (BJ-4) and since then my total c-bills grinded has totaled 50milllion including achievements and the such. Of course I'm most likely going to play less and less as time goes on, but would it be more beneficial to pay the £10 for a 10% boost until december, or the 30 days premium time for about £10 also.

Tournaments Supporter is the best value.

Forget buying standalone premium time, when a $20 mech pack comes with 30 days included.

Better yet, buy the Kodiak basic pack for $20. You get the 30 day Premium and the KDK - 3 which is currently better than the Direwolf plus the KDK - ! and KDK - 2. And they come with 3 MechBays. If you do not want the Kodiaks (gasp) then sell them and rake in millions of C-Bills. You will still have the MechBays and Premium time.

I'm trying to get a good amount of IS mechs at the moment, but I would love the Kodiak with maybe a a quad ballistic setup I'll have to think about the pack though, it's still a lot of real world money considering I'm at an age with no possible income.

It is a long shot but if you have time to watch some of the streams of the Tournament on Twitch, they give away Premium time, MechBays, Mech Packs and Champion Mechs during the stream. All you have to do it tune in and enter the drawings. Some of the other streamers also have giveaways of similar stuff. I have never managed to win anything while watching but your luck may be better than mine.

Do they give away codes to everyone watching the stream, or is it more of a lucky draw style giveaway? The stream it's self sounds interesting.

this has actually been the primary reasoning behind my mech pack purchases, if it wasnt for this i probibly would just wait for cbill release and pay with those. i still got 2 more archers to buy.

Wait for the hero sale. They seem bi-annualish.
For all the things PGI gets criticism for, they do have some pretty sweet sales every now and then.
