Buff IS small laser and small pulse laser by 1 damage. Buff IS medium laser to 5.5 damage.

Could just as easily lower both heat and cool-down across all three to achieve a similar, even preferable result.

An even crazier idea would be to reduce the C-ER LL duration.

rather have range than damage personally
More range will not help the isSL unless you want to get outrageous (i.e. 300 m small laser). It has no punch at all as it stands. Firing faster or giving it more damage will let it be dangerous on the DPS front. It already has enough range for its weight.
SPL could use more range, but it's really only taken on 'Mechs that move so fast than a small boost isn't going to make a huge difference. Again, would have to be somewhat outrageous.
Medium lasers don't need more damage, they just need to fire faster and colder. And should have ghost bumped up to 8.

increase medium laser gh threshold to 8.
no gh for small laser.
faster small laser cd.
no gh for small laser.
faster small laser cd.

IS ML has too much heat for the pitiful amount of DPS and range it has. Either lower the heat, or buff the other two, to start.

Remove XL side torso death for both tech bases. Give STD engines a massive CT internal health boost. See what happens.

Your XL 'Mech will retain anaemic firepower and your STD engine 'Mech will become a useless stick more often than not.
Next idea!
