I keep experiencing severe hitreg issues with gauss for a couple of games now.

Mainly playing a warhammer with dualgauss and a gridiron with single gauss.

Also played a victor with single gauss.

As far as the victor, i didn't noticed so much thanks to the locaction of the gauss in the arm (it's pretty wide so aiming is bound to miss more often)

I've played probably a couple of thousands game with gauss so i would say i know my aim and to hit with a gauss rifle.

Both the warhammer and the hunchy have their gauss close to the cockpit. convergence shouldn't be the issue ( i had no problems hitting stuff at close, mid or max range before)

From the looks of it, gauss slugs either hit normaly, hit without causing damage (i confirmed this multiple times, asking the one who took the slug. They said the had the typical impact sound and shake but didn't recieve any damage) or worse, the slug simply passing through the enemy mech and hitting the area behind it.
In one case, my dual gauss slugs were passing the mech i aimed at and hit the mech standing behind him.

Now i know that i sometimes place the slugs right in the gaps between the legs or the arm/torso section. Or i miss by a tiny fraction. But i also know when a slug was placed well and should hit.

As far as i can see, gauss is on the level of PPCs for me now, maybe a bit worse.
Doesn't matter if one or two slugs fired, the 1/2 seconds hitreg issues with PPCs does also not apply to gauss, it is completly at random.

Anyone else experienced similaritiies?

I have the same Problem. 5/6 games there is no problem at all. The one game you shoot trough powered down mechs, Assaults that walk a straight line towards you, somebody that shows you his/her back. Nothing registers, or registers in a wildly different area than you should have hit it. Sometimes damage only applys to a certain percentage.... The list is long.

I have played around 4k games with double Gauss and earned 560 Headshots. I think i know how to aim, and know when i hit something and it didnt register or when i actually miss.

Same thing happens on the tournament server. And it happens to all weapons. Just the frequenzy of itit happening is different from weapon to weapon.

And sometimes the stars align and you get a kill from missing a target by miles

Hit reg was always unreliable at best. That said, what is your ping to the server you are playing on? If its is 80+ hit reg starts to detoriate significantly.

I've max 40 ms ping on the european server and around 120 on the north american server.
Got the same ping for years so i doubt it is my ping.
I also checked for package lose which isn't the case.
HSR "should" counter ping related hitreg issues afaik.
To be frank, hitreg always had one or two issues, it's just that, from what i'm seeing over the lest couple of weeks, it got significant worse regarding gauss hitreg, Almost to the point when hit or miss appeals to be completely at random.
today i pumped 16 gaussslugs into a catapult at 300 meter range and it didn't came close to an armorbreach anywhere.
