I recently bought 2 Cicadas - the 3M, and the 2B, and now i'm up to choose the third variant for mastering. However, i fiound out, that there's - besides the 3A, the MC-only X-5 and the crappy 3C - another variant, the CDA-3F - the only chassis that's featuring jumpjets...
Unfortunately that variant was only available as reward for those, who supported the game with MCs during the "2015 Customer Apreciation Rewards Program", and is (still) not available at the store. But on this site: https://mwomercs.com...rewards-program i found the following announcement:
"This Cicada Loyalty Variant will only be available through the MechWarrior Credits Reward program. The Standard version of this Cicada variant will be available for MC and C-Bills at a future date, to be determined."
Well... long time has passed since then, but the CDA-3F still isn't available, neither for C-Bills, nor for MCs. So here's my question about it:
DEAR PGI-TEAM - WHEN WILL THE CICADA CDA-F BE AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE ELSE THEN ??? DIDN'T WE WAIT FOR LONG ENOUGH BY NOW ???
I understand and agree, that the CDA-3F still has to stay as it is in its current state - as a unique reward for those only, that supported the game with MCs, but i also can't see anything right in keeping the only Cicada chassis featuring jump jets unavailable to 90% of the community for that single reason.
Sure, the Award-Cicada can't be sold as it is, because it would loose its status as a special reward, but the solution is simple and obvious: release the "standart" CDA-F with a slightly different notation (like as CDA-3F2 or something) and a basic green standard paintjob, give it a stock loadout, but the same options as the original and make it available for C-Bills or - at least - for MCs, and everyone is fine with it! This way the "original" Award-CDA-3F retains its uniqueness by having its special paintjob, that noone can buy or achieve, and the community doesn't have to waive to the one and only flying Cicada variant that exists. Releasing a standart variant of already existing "champion" variants wasn't ever a problem, so releasing a new CDA-F resembling the same features shouldn't be a problem likewise...
imho every pilot should be able to have access to the same pool of mechs and equipment on principle and in the meaning of equal opportunities...
Other opinions? - Post it.
