Like a gunpla....why piranha hasn't made a gunpla based battletech toys? assembling battlemech sounds interesting, right? I would like to have an atlas on my desk somehow....can someone advise my opinion to piranha? or is there someone on the studio or any battletech related people that I can contact on? perhaps they too have a same interest.....

PGI has previously stated that they do not have the rights to sell Battletech merchandise. IIRC, these rights are owned by Topps.
Have you checked some of the 3D models posted by some very creative people in this forum? -> http://mwomercs.com/...-fan-creations/

Look on Facebook. There is a group that builds and sells Large Scale battletech stuff. I have seen some cool 1/16th scale stuff in the past.

Admittedly posable figures would make me quite estatic, but yeah. No rights.
With time, patience and a 3D printer you can make your own MWO-pla. Some have. Both good and OK results.
I've debated trying my luck with wood models as 3D printing requires cleaning the models and making additions and interchangeability to mechs that isn't there in MWO... it takes more patience and time and money than I have. But for wood models I would need a better dremel set and again, patience.
Virtual figures is what I'm currently doing.
Also: Petition Tools / Catalyst to make their own version of Battletech-pla? Catalyst unveiled a redesign of the Battletech Locust in 3d very recently and it looked really sweet.

Long time 3D printer user / programmer....
You can go to Thingiverse.com and they have a few models...but someone (Topps?) is death on copyright violations.
The ones you can find basically suck. The .stl files are mostly static scans and don't have 3D printing allowances. You can use a 3rd party program to 'slice' it into more printer friendly bits but it should be designed better. I'm hoping someone knows someone who'll eventually bless some homebrew designs or allow us to use in-game designs. Some lesser known video games allowed you to print characters right out of the game in a separate pull down..but you had to use a 3rd party (expensive) printing service.
I'm on Thingiverse and I've re-engineered some old props from Space 1999 (with permission btw) and it's pretty hard to get really good detail that small.
Everyone is getting on the 3D bandwagon (though not as fast as previous years) Mattel has a "Thingmaker" 3D printer coming and they have a few hard to identify mechs with the ad. Who knows?
