Why is the Steam patch size twice of what is listed in the patch notes? 3.8 gig.

I think this has been the largest variance in patch size since we launched on Steam, but the difference you're seeing comes down to the different compression methods used between our standard client patcher and Steam's patching system. Unfortunately this isn't something we have control over for the Steam version.

Perhaps add this notice in the patch notes next time so future Steam users won't be too shocked. I do recall the 7 gig texture patch and all patches since then prior to this was only 7.8 gig for me, that is why having to get 3.8 gig now is a bit shocking.

I'll get that notice included in the future, and added to these Notes. The size of this patch on Steam caught me a bit by surprise as well.

Saving is great, but at least my client does not update x2 exp notification on a mech. Also if person is afk (0 damage) or disconnected, does he have a chance in getting supply cache?

I love how they have time to respond about file sizes but not about quirkenings that render dollars already spent useless, and players saying they won't spend dollars again... not so much as a "we'll take that under consideration..."

Massive frame drops since updating, unplayable now but on the 18th it was fine?

i7 3770k dual 980 ti's

Good system etc. No issue before the patch.

Anyone got lower frames like stuttering into the 40's all the time.

Thanks. I don't get my jimmies rustled by mech balance unlike most people here, but damn it, leave my bandwidth alone. :3

This. I own one and I rarely play it because it doesn't seem all that great, just ok. Did it become a huge OP meta and I missed the memo?

The 3xLL/LPL build are consider meta, put them on chain fire the 1st LL/LPL will be ready by the time you finish firing your 3rd LL/LPL. Quite team depended, they are nasty if they have a willing tanker to soak damage for them.
I used to run them until it got boring, and switched to a mixed loadout on my AL.

AL are consider Tier 2 medium mech on http://metamechs.com...-lists/is-list/

We included some shader changes in this patch, partly related to the Decal release, that may momentarily affect your frames when loading into maps for the first time after patching. Let me know if the hitches persist throughout the match, particularly if you drop into the same map again and see the same hitches.

hmmm i am not a real good player but why the hell i suck so much in kodiak-3?

I got headshoted with a single salvo 2 times, my CT is faster open then on any other mechs i play...
Do people hate those kodiaks that much? I get feeling I get most attention always as soon I play that...

Kodiak are high priority target due to the amount of damage they can dish out in short amount of time.
I think it beats Timber Wolf on the priority target list now.

Apologies, thread's moving a bit fast - and I'm catching up here..

But. Bought a Viper pack, but it's not in my mechbays. Hopefully, and most likely, I'm missing something obvious, but any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Nope they keep falling back on that 'Ol disclaimer that we have to sign basically saying i'm paying money to rent these mechs as i have zero ownership of them and the Developers can do anything they want with them. Hell judging by the track record of PGI i wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if they turned all us 'wingers' mechs bright pink....

Opposite, it seems to me that FPS has raised notably!
(my graphics setting is a bit below average).

Why do we have such a MASSIVE ghost heat?

that being said, headshots are rare if you're not shutdown....twice in kodiaks in quick succession...sounds like someone on the opposing team is running an exploit. Get screen caps when you're killed to a headshot and of the opposing team roster, email them to support.

Terms OF Use and even need to touch it again. And what the hell and this sharing. Posted Image
"Shutting Down your ‘Mech or avoiding engagements with the enemy, and when doing so might be considered non-participation" Really Posted Image

Mech shutdown is part of the game tactics even if it is to benefit. Create a system that mech if you have more than 5 minutes Shutdonw that reveal the map. Posted Image
