Getting rain and lightning on viridian bog at night. That's cool.
If that works out that might open more weather effects on other maps. Finally, I say, bring on more weather.
Well sans fog :-)

I thought bioluminescence is actually quite cool a feature

Agree with OP, I'm excited to see the weather effects too, as well as ToD

I think all the changing weather and conditions effects have been very good, sadly the effort seems to be wasted as people vote for three maps, and a few of us buck the trend with multipliers..

Ugh...
The lack of "dynamic time of day" was the best thing about the old Viridian bog.
The transitions are way too fast and jarring, not only that, they seem to be really horrible performance wise, causing massive stuttering and frame-drops during the transitions (from conversations in-game with other people, it seems i'm not the only one suffering from them. Game normally runs at 60 fps, but during those transitions the FPS can drop to even single digits)
I really wish the time of day was static. Like it'd pick a time of day and stick to it, through the entire match.

Viridian only had a few things keeping it from being a really good map... most of which, it seems, are being addressed in the patch. The primary issue, I think was that the map was very advantateous to one side. Then the usual movement issues... things that were way too easy to get hung up on, etc.
Am I alone in thinking that... if storm effects and bioluminescense works out... I'd rather play this one in the dark?
I'm also not too keen about the degree of time change during matches. Running through a quarter of a day in a 15 minute match is a bit of a pain in the ***. I do kind of like a little map change though... maybe we can have a slight transition but not full blown dark-to-light changes. More environmental effects during certain times of day would be more welcome than a full day cycle.
We're getting rain on Viridian. How about a sand-storm on Tourmaline? Or dust-devils on Canyon? Maybe some sort of nasty, toxic rain on some of the other maps... something that burns the ground and leaves little wisps of smoke when the rain hits?
