I feel like the Behemoth can't do anything. Its a giant target, thats always visible, with barely any benefits to it.

What was the point in making it a purchase only "Legend" when you're walking around in an orange joke.

I feel like it needs some re-doing.

Depends on the pilot skill and ability.

I've seen it perform to modest effect with mixed ACs and PPCs, but... well, taking an IS mech and giving it Clan weapons will always be good, but doing so in reverse is more often than not going to be a downgrade. If you're not deliberately mounting the few IS weapons that are statistically better, you're just going to suffer.

Try the 3 RAC5 build?

Play defensively around terrian and this mech can kill other mechs really quick.

The Behemoth has always been able to run builds equivalent to those mounted on an Anni or Fafnir such as 4AC5 2HPPC or 4 UAC5 2 snubs. That said, to differentiate a bit it was given RAC quirks which match up nicely and give it nice dps type builds. Here are a couple of options.

4 RAC5 (because 3 RAC5 is undergunned) - https://mwo.nav-alph...20a58566_BHN-6H
Make 3 firing groups - 4/3/and 2. Fire all 4 until 50-60% heat, then 3 until 80% heat, then 2 until heat cap. Enjoy.

I had a hard time figuring out what to do with the Behemoth as well. Compared to the Aksum I got at the same time it was completely underwhelming.

I tried a bunch of different things but none of them worked well compared to similar builds on other mechs. I even tried ghost heat RAC5s and promptly cooked myself to death. I was about to permanently mothball the mech but then I came up with one last idea. After some tweaking this is the final version:

https://mwo.nav-alph...a37d5_BHN-6HLGD

It is intended for Solaris or Event Que only. It is not suited for quick play due to the low speed and facetime. In the smaller and more controlled event lobbies though it absolutely murders anything that comes in front of it and usually pulls big damage numbers. It went from a mech I thought was worthless to being a fun and effective mech I look forward to being able to play.

The Behemoth is definitely not a super easy mech to pilot. That said I have gone through a number of different builds, most of them boating different ballistic weapons. But they all seem to average around the same. I have played this game forever. And I usually can come up with that “one” really op build. I’m having issues with this one though. Whether it’s that Im a Huge slow easy target and Am teamed up on Early on in the match, or putting myself in a bad spot and not being able to get out of it. Or your team was just off. I would normally just move on but I do like this mech.
And I know i could be pulling more than 750 damage in the good matches.
I like running the Qaud lbx10s but it’s a tricky build. Basically a giant shot gun. Timing is everything.
I also figured maybe running two rac 5s and two rac 2s would be a good idea. It works great for keeping them at bay and giving you more face time in return.
I have a number of different builds. But now I need some advice or Suggestions!!!
