Content has been delivered. No refunds. (See if the employee who says it to you can manage not to smirk.)

Thinking back to Clan Wave III (the last time I pre-purchased omnimechs), the SHC-P (and other fourth-variant) pods couldn't be purchased, until that variant was available to C-Bills. The regular variants' pods were purchasable, though.

I don't know. Rob the omnimechs of what makes them unique and interesting in MWO.

Well, never buying another omni-mech for real money again. GG PGI.

What's it even matter? The quirks only come with having a complete set, because everyone knows omnimechs are just battle mechs in disguise.

No they don't. in fact the moment the Viper pack was made available people were asking how omnipods would work, assumed it would be like the previous Clan Wave special variants but no answer was ever given by PGI. The words omni and pod don't even appear in the FAQ, in any combination or alone.

Hey all,

There was an error with the MechLab Warehouse after the patch that caused the OmniPods for all Viper variants to appear for direct purchase for all Viper owners, including those of the Medusa and Reinforcement variants. The issue with this is that if you only owned the Standard or Collector Pack, but not the Hero or the Reinforcements, you could simply purchase the OmniPods of those variants and equip them onto one of your owned variants (excluding the CT).
The initial fix for this mornings issue involved the removal of all Viper OmniPods from the in-game Warehouse, which is why you no longer saw them available for direct purchase.

With the way the in-game Warehouse system works right now we unfortunately can't restrict OmniPod availability per-user according to their owned variants. In other words we can't activate VPR-M OmniPods solely for owners of the Medusa.

While we can't make the Hero and Reinforcement OmniPods available for purchase in-game for the above reason, the VPR-Prime, VPR-A, and VPR-B OmniPods are now available again for direct in-game purchase by owners of the Standard or Collector Packs.
Every Viper owner has those three variants; there is no need to limit the acquisition of their OmniPods.

Unfortunately, the VPR-C, VPR-D, and VPR-M OmniPods will not become available for direct in-game purchase until those 'Mechs release in-game for purchase, regardless of whether you own the associated Hero or Reinforcement Add-On.

I will be following up here to examine if it's feasible for us to introduce per-user ownership filtering for the in-game Warehouse in the future, to allow for OmniPod purchasing by owners of the associated variants.

tl;dr
The VPR-Prime, VPR-A, and VPR-B OmniPods are now available for direct purchase in-game.
The VPR-C, VPR-D, and VPR-M OmniPods won't become available for direct purchase until the Viper 'Mechs themselves release for direct purchase in-game.

yup, then I would love a refund on my Viper - C and Viper - D, since I can't use the Omnipod, one of the reason I got them. I can just buy them with C-bills when they come out, because I will not even use them until then.

In other words, you just F'd me out of 15 dollars..

wow, thats weird because that was part off some FAQ already, so someone derped the copy pasta for those latest mechs. In that case they kinda have a problem as they didn't inform you right.

Also people BOUGHT THE OMNIPODS before the patch. So because some of us abstained from buying the omnipods we are just given the middle finger?

Maybe they were said by PGI somewhere at some point. I don't watch this game 24/7, but the Viper FAQ (and the Night Gyr and Huntsman FAQs for that matter) said absolutely nothing about omnipods. I always assumed it would be like the Wave packs, and as Alex explains above that assumption was correct.

Will this be ironed out before the Huntsman goes live? If not, I might be tempted to get a refund on that bundle, because I bought specifically due to the flexibility in the Mech. I am sorry, Alexander, but I find it hard to believe that this 'bug' was not a foreseen issue prior to the injection of the Viper that was simply not brought to light before everyone had taken delivery of their Viper bundles. Honestly, how could it not? You guys test things before release, correct?
