These connection times are just stupid. I'm replying to comments here and returning to "searching". But props to PGI for fixing mech load times, I guess, after 4 years.....

connecting still seems to take the ages it always did. Hoever at the time it needs I doubt i would recognise if connectio would take 1 or 2 secs longer.

Before only time it connected longer was when i won something and it go injected. Now it seems to last much longer all the time.

My connect time has been abysmal for months, if not over a year. It hasn't gotten any longer at least, though. If anything, feels like its a few seconds shorter now.

Keep in mind its still like 10-15 seconds. I have a really nice PC, really nice internal switch, really nice router, really nice modem, and really nice connection. The connect time certainly isn't doing a connect thing, it's something else that's holding things up and I believe it's server-side.

Connection time of 45s after matches for me.

It feels like a disincentive to get more mechs :(

Longer connecting time for both into the Mech lab and into matches.


I also am getting some terrible frame drop and skipping on all the maps. Was getting dips in the teens down from 50 on River city and New Viridian Bog.

I noticed this too. Long connecting after every match.

The patch notes explained the reduction in save time coming from reduced checks to the server about the status of the player's inventory. Apparently this check was made a lot during saving and they cut some of them out.

Adding them to the connect time wouldn't make sense. More likely you just notice these wait times more now that save time is short.

no, the time connecting back after a game is longer for me now. it was like 5-10 seconds, now it is 20-30s.

I haven't noticed a difference with 'mechlab connection times.

*shrug* mine are the same. Still has no bearing on the fact that streamlining the saving steps does not add steps to connecting.

Your connect times may have gotten longer, but it would be a mistake to assume that is because save times are lower.

Yeah i just timed mine and its 26 seconds, what a frigging joke, my wait time went up sky high now, as i more rarely save mech loadouts

After seacrching for duplicates and not finding any I have raised a topic in the Patch Feedback Forum, if any would like to add their voice.

I have a LOT of mechs and the connect time has increased from distracting right up to glacial.

Hopefully this can be next on the "to do" list.
