I use it with 4x MGs 1x ER PPC and a XL 295. Hit people with the PPC from a distance it runs so cool you can fire 6-7 shots easily. With modules and quirks the PPC works fairly well. MGs for up close.

Wow a dedicated thread to one of the least appreciated mech, of course! My all time favourite mech, the dark sheep of this odd-ball mech model, the CDA-3C. The wonderfull ER PPC keeps me going all day long! Its a great support mech, especially in the role of skirmisher. I consider it the ideal support mech for a light wolfpack because it has about the same speed, ideal to disengage when operating "behind enemy lines" gets too hot...
My CDA-3C is equipped with aan erppc, ac5 + 2,5t ammo and xl285 engine.
This CDA-3C performs best on the flanks of the enemy, peeking and repositioning. The biggest challenge is to stay in the optimal range and have enough line of sight to the enemy to be effective yet safe not to get too much damage, to keep your situational awareness and knowing when to disengage while you keep that particle- and autocannon rocking.
This is wat i ended ip with and it works the best for me:

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "great" support mech. It can dish out some damage as long as it's ignored.... but so can any mech. In fact the 3C is one of the worst mechs in this game.
ERPPC + (U)AC5 + XL255 + FF/Endo is probably the most meta-friendly build on it. Another one is AC10 (2.5t ammo) + (ERL)LL.+ XL245 + FF/Endo.

XL340, ERPPC. The rest is kind of up to you. All I ever really use is the speed and the ERPPC, so essentially you have weight you can use however you want and it makes little difference.
I run 4xMG with a half-ton of ammo (good for about 20 seconds of fire -- I only use the MG's in very occasional strikes to finish opponents with torsos in the red), and a BAP for long-range targetting.
It's a very bad 'mech, but I occasionally manage 500+ damage games. Invariably I feel dizzy afterwards from all the running.
