I say nVidia.
nVidia just had the huge MWO lan party and probably has given support (in the forms of technical expertise and C-Bills) while AMD is probably too busy trying to keep employees from going to Tim Horton's and playing hockey to get involved.

Geforce v Radion with an AMD processor.

Go Nvidia. AMD was great at one time but that time is not now. Grab a 2500K and a P67 board and get a Nvidia graphics card. I used AMD for years and I've had a Athlon 650, 1GHZ TBird, 2800+, 4800x2, etc. Videocards: 8500, X700, 3870 crossfire, 5770 crossfire, 5870, etc..
The drivers are terrible. Hardware wise AMD offers more ram per dollar but the support isn't there. Nothing like getting a new card than having to use BETA drivers because it is the only stable release.. save yourself a lot of agony and just get Nvidia.

Heh, I just replaced a pair of 5870 cards I was running in crossfireX. I replaced a pair of GTX280 cards I was running in SLI with the first 5870 I bought in Jan 2010. I did not notice any performance drop with that change. I Bought the 2nd 5870 last summer. I've been running the 5870 cards in crossfireX since last summer. Never once had a issue. Yesterday, I replaced the 5870 cards with a single 7970. The 7970 is giving me the same performance I was getting from the 5870 crossfireX set-up.
AMD vs Nvidia, AMD vs Intel, it really doesn't matter which you get. Both are fully capable of making a excellent gaming computer.
