I opened my first supply dohicky the other day.

I only opened it because I thought I'd unlock everything inside, (I'm a noob)
An Avatar Mech, 3x unlock keys, an AC2, some cockpit items, and a days premium time, and other bits.

I got just the AC2.

I hate gambling, and unless I missed something, it doesn't state on the supply cache that you'll only receive 1 of the 8 items listed.
I've got 2 more keys to use up, but I won't buy any more again.

Just go to youtube and type in MWO Supply Cache and you will get all the data you need. There are literally dozens and dozens of videos of people sometimes opening 15-20 supply cache at a time and ALL of them will tell you, "Nope, not worth it".

There was also some guy who collected about data from about 1500 box openings if I recall right and did a big Excel sheet to track the odds and he said, "Nope, not worth it".

There is a caveat though. If you at straight up C-bill to $$$ invested return then some have said it actually is a fairly cost efficient way to BUY C-bills because you will earn between 100k and 250k C-bills on average per cache.

That being said, when you get free keys, sure I would definitely open the cache because you will generally get more than 50k in value for each one. Also there is a challenge coming up that gives you 15 free keys so I would save at least 15 of your caches if you are planning on doing the challenge and who knows, you might actually win something decent.
