RCGB did a 0-1 pull back to the dropzone vs an IS pug group I was in today.

I commend their discipline, we waited about 10 minutes as the IS pugs who weren't on teamspeak gave away free kills. The score climbed to 2-7 as 2 IS players disconnected out of boredom and one started team killing.

Here is the final score:

Just had a match against a Falcon team mostly from ECHO with some other RJF mixed in where they spawncamped hard after the 2nd wave. Looks like all Clanners are capable of right now is hillsniping, spawncamping and trash talking.

So sad....Posted Image

Liar!!! If they have Long Tom active they dont camp at the spawn. They only camp at the spawn if they are below 90% scouting. So stop trash talking please

Very risky tactic on their part. You're one good push away from getting spawn camped yourselves. The skittle makeup helps them, but I would rather lose in a good brawl than do that.

Hmm... First time I ever saw that tactic was when an IS unit did it and from the very start. Come to think of it, every time I have seen it was when an IS unit did it. Huh, imagine that.

Probably why Ghost Bear has no planets, they enjoy hibernating a little too much.

Yeah, I've taken part in dishonorable maneuvers such as this.

It all depends on what the drop commander calls.

I'd rather follow a shady order than be the one guy that goes AWOL and throws the match, though.

That's pretty much it. When you play like that... well...

I've seen CGBI 12-mans do it and RCGB obviously do it well.

Yeah it's a tactic, but it's pretty disgraceful. No one gets paid well in such instances.

not true.... we get paid extremely well using this tactic. in addition to the 6 jump lights Assault tactics we use, and the Stone Wall Maneuver we also use. We've bitched about your long *** long grange Poke maneuvers so we Clans have adapted... time for you to do the same again. Also this tactic was Pioneered by MS a year ago..... so .... yeah.

If someone retreats to their own drop zone then you follow them to that drop zone and kick their *** there. After that you spawn camp them.

If you cannot beat them when they are at their drop zone you probably would've lost anyway so no great harm done. You can still go down fighting.

I'm not saying camping at your own spawn or camping your enemies spawn is a fun or nice tactic but it happens and you can deal with it.

What map are you looking at bubba?! Look again and note we don't have comp merc units contracted on us to do what we've done. (That is except the merc units that might contract up to jump on the band waggon and pretend to take credit)

Also note, that every planet we have has a ghost bear loyalist unit's name on it. No other faction can say the same

Give it a couple weeks where FRR turns it's attention to you again.

I, for one, appreciate our fellow Ghost bears occupying FRR for the time being. We needed a bit of breathing room over here as they were about to cut our faction in two and I am not certain how the loyalists units in CJF would have responded to that. Hopefully they would have kept their eye on the prize but it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't strike back and try to take back some of that lost territory. Keep on smashing them you lovely white bears you.

It's so hard to play CW without LT doing all the work for you!

Getting Long Tom is quite a bit of grind and work, but since IS is gracefully letting us win most scouting missions, we'll take it as part of our invasion strategy. Our units would take your planets from you without Long Tom, but why grind Invasion when we can have artillery support to make it easy for our pugs to do good work instead of units doing it all ?

PGI will likely nerf or change the Long Tom again soon making it less appealing to work hard to get it, but in the mean time, we'll take any advantage we can get to take and keep planets.

All fair game, just as fair as any strategy we can use to beat IS in invasion matches.

If you can't adapt yourselves to new situations with your huge numbers against us Bears.....

Umm..... FRR has been focused and attacking Ghost Bear, not Jade Falcon, for the last 2 weeks. So, what's the next lie? What's you're next attempt to belittle the only faction pushing back the merc wave, without using mercs?

Whaaaaa! So get off your bum and get LT yourself, or keep us from getting it.

Let me translate what you just said. "You're only winning because you're using the current game mechanics, that we have access to as well, to stomp mud holes in our bums"

Also, Ghost Bears smell of fish, and CGBI is a secret PGI stooge with access to super ERR MEGA PULSAR PPC's.

No other explanation makes sense, when you think about it.

Last time I personally saw a team pull back to their own drop zone was Tuk2, a full clan unit with the discipline for it.
I had a few Invasion games during the event where my PUG was driven back and yes, spawncamped. But that sort of thing happens when you have a real unit turn up and fight randoms. Same game also had one of our guys spend his time whining and teamkilling because everyone except him was terribad, so the clanners didn't get all the kills. ;-)

A really odd spawn tactic I witnessed last day of this event was the full clan team rushing straight from right gate (Emerald Taiga) to our drop zone. Their first wave was wiped out, then they did it again but sneakily staggered the rush enough that we didn't notice a few light/mediums that came in after and took out two generators. (Maybe some long range fire from our drop zone too.) If we'd not had a leader that could have worked, but as it was they were now down 24 mechs and incapable of fooling us again.
