You've nerfed my fun.

I've been on an unplanned break from MWO for a few months now, just recently started playing again in the last week or so.
I come back and "the resizening" has already happened. With a few more "quirk passes" thrown in there aswell.

I'm a light and medium player, and i'm pretty frickin good, not even gonna be modest. And before anyone cries "anyone can be good with a firestarter or cheater", if you look, you'll see my light mechs are mainly locusts, ravens, and spiders. Garbage tier mechs i made do work, son.

But these nerfs to mobility, additional armor and structure *and* firepower has made them all but unplayable. I've given them a chance. My legs are now all gargantuan and fly off at the drop of a hat, to the point where i think the leg hitboxes are actually bugged as even would-be body shots seem to hit my legs - especially on the now gigantic spiders. Why are they medium mech sized now? (it's a rhetorical question, i KNOW pgi scaled them up, but it's too big)

I've gone from 4 and 5 kill matches with several hundred damage, to barely scraping by with a few kills because my mechs are now that fragile and unresponsive. It's like driving garbage mediums, truly.

Lets take a look at the nerfs to the poor, already garbage locust, the butt of all jokes. It lost 10 points of armor to its legs ALONE, which is huge. And the 1v lost its direly-needed-to-be-competitive energy duration quirk. It could have been toned down to 25% and i would've been happy, but to nerf the quirk right off the mech? Chronicles of Ridiculous, right there.

I'm not even gonna comment on what you've done to my poor Blackjacks or other mediums.

I feel like i have to pilot bigger mechs to DO anything anymore, but i guess that was your intention, eh PGI?

Ah well. I type this angrily, with my MWO tabbed out. I'll still be playing, just alot less often now. And this light pilot wont give PGI another cent until i can have fun (and be effective while doing so) again.

Yep. PGI just had to satisfy the vocal minority of terribads that think lights are OP. Because of this, light queue percentages are at an all-time low and there is absolutely no incentive to play lights anymore.Posted Image

I guess you are just bad...
And need a hug.

Because if these changes affected you, you weren't really good in the first place.

BulletChief got me guys! I'm just super bad. My consistently crazy performances in my garbage spiders was a sham this whole time, guided by nothing but pure luck and bad hitreg, fueled by mountain dewritos and hawt pockets.

There's nothing to see here in these single digit (and falling!) light queue numbers.

Mah B, guyz! :D

*shrug*
While I have all but given up on my Jenners, but my Spiders, Raven and Cheetas are getting a workout.
Had a blast LL sniping with one of my spider on manifold last night.
Not something I'd normally do.

Even had an "epic" comment from someone on Crimson when I was LMS vs 3 op-for. I didn't win that one, but it was pretty epic.
And being recognised for maximum effort, even in a loss, still feels pretty good.

Well I hope the next step is to make lights worth more than just for damage. Information warfare where are you? :)

Try taking a cheater it's still a good light mech. Arms fall off like crazy but at least the legs stay on it.
