So here I sit waiting for the after mech release spoiler for the next mech pack and it still isn't around. I mean hell they spoiled the linebacker during the PXH count down. I wonder if this means no new mech pack to think about for a month atlest.

Don't worry, since PGI basically lives paycheck to paycheck they're going to have to announce a new MechPak soon.

I would guess an Inner Sphere mech since most of the currently open preorders are Clan.

I agree with Cup, it'll likely be IS.

Give us Hollander! With 200% ammo, 20% Gauss CD, 30% ballistic CD, and 20% ballistic velocity quirks!

I'm guessing they are trying to pump out even more mechs even faster due to the declining interest of the playerbase. I know there are some of you out there ready to quote this and say "NAH DUDE I BOUGHT THIS AND THAT. IT IS GONNA BE HYPE" but honestly, none of the mechs on preorder past the Night Gyr seem to have garnered as much interest as usual here.

^^^ I've seen that, personally I rather like the Huntsman and am really excited to see it in action, the only other clan medium Omni that I would even consider picking up is the crow and Meh, too much drama. I full ordered the gyr, huntsman, and the Cyclops. Kinda hoping the Cyclops' sensor thingie makes a dfference and is interesting, the Night Gyr just looks good everywhere, except maybe the speed but meh still love the look/loadouts. The linebacker is just a slightly different timber/ebon which puts it pretty low on my list of mech I want. Kinda hoping to see something that is really different but sadly the mechs I'm thinking of off the top of my head are in the wrong time group.

Unfortunately, PGI would likely underquirk the poor little Holly. :(

I'm more worried that PGI will under-size Hollander's big stick, and oversize the mech itself, cause its a 35 tonner.

While I certainly wouldn't want to see the Holly look like the picture on the right, it's important to understand that there are opposite extremes and pendulum swings involved here.

In this case, the picture on the left is arguably too big...yeah I said it, sue me. That thing looks like it would struggle to even stand up, much less move around or fire the cannon.

Also, with the new volume scaling, this could potentially cause issues. If that cannon is included in the volume measurement, the overall body of the mech will be tiny. Really tiny. Like, 20-tonner tiny. That whole cannon by itself is probably around one third of the mech's total size, if not more. The mech would look too cartoony and ridiculous.

On the other hand, if the cannon was not included in volume, then the mech would have the same huge body as the other 35 tonners but it would also have a side torso that could be hit more easily than a Stalker's side. That would make the mech into an XL deathtrap unless it had extremely massive armor quirks. Armor, not structure. I'm talking about least double armor to make a hitbox like that actually usable on a slow/big target with low default armor. PGI is unlikely to ever give out quirks that large again.

It would be nice if Alex could find a middle ground for the weapon size, a "Goldilocks" zone if you will...

Or Javelin.

Sadly this current setup really doesn't favor lights & even some mediums.
