Whatever changes PGI made, it certainly made the graphic more laggy.

Right at the beginning from the first match, after the patch, I've noticed the graphic lags fairly bad. Especially, when I turn my mechs around.

After a few QP, I think PGI has made significant. Never has a problem like that for a few months of playing.

I hope they didn't increase the minimum requirement...

I a got huge framedrop compared previous patch. At least 15 frames on Frozen City..... I think it has to do with the additional texture layers for the decals.. since every mech has more texture channels/layers now.

Suffering a huge frame rate loss myself. Mech lab is fine. As soon as I dropped into Tourmaline Desert, I dropped to ~20fps (normally between 50 - 60). I then dropped into a testing grounds instance of Tourmaline, and suffered no lag, so I'm assuming it's the additional textures or decals on mechs.

The drops you're seeing are likely caused due to some shader changes in this patch, partly related to the Decal release, that may be affecting your frames when loading into a map for the first time after patching. Let me know if the hitches persist throughout the match, particularly if you drop into the same map again and see the same hitches.

Performance should even out for you once the shaders are repopulated.

FPS remained the same for me throughout the entire match. Dropping into another game now... will see how that goes.

Any way to force these into the testing ground instances so we can self load / tune? Challenging to have to play with settings in a live game...

Dropped into HPG... suffered no lag at all from start to finish. Will keep testing...

Thanks for the update. Will check if the framedrops persists.

Continue to have no issues since that first drop on Tourmaline (seen HPG, Canyon Network, and Grim Plexus). Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful in getting a second drop on Tour...

Thanks again for the info!

It was bad at first but the more you play the better it gets, as shaders update. Still, the game is very.. fickle about its stability, even on some high end rigs.

Only since patch having HUGE FR issues (almost like stop motion at times) on several maps including bog; very, very extended server log on, match in / out load times (all servers); AND many server connection errors (either telling me logged in wrong when saved right or connection error telling me something is wrong with my internet...when it isn't.

I have game via Steam but I've already validated all my local game files 100%. I could care less about silly decals...if I mean I can't play the game....

Posted ImageMaybe you should sell Mech sad face decals so we can put the on...if we can get on....

I also got an FPS drop in MechLab. Also the issue still persists when i play Frozen City or other maps again. So something else is going on then just the shaders.

Please, please, disable all the effects on all the maps - really don't need to see rain drops or birds flying when all settings have been set to low! Somehow you've overridden the ability to adjust just how much is shown when trying to use custom settings!

I've been experiencing persistent FPS drops that render the game substantially less playable than prior to the patch on my system.

These persist across multiple instances of the same map, though possibly not different times of day. I've got about 3.5 hours of game play in and have had to reduce all of my graphics settings to low from the previous medium to maintain any semblance of playability.

I'm already on low setting and still having a big issue with fps drop! Even in the map like Canyon & Mining.....

Back in the old days when most games were running OGL, there are usually tons of setting so having alot control.... now-a-days games only have like those very simple, low, medium, & high Posted Image

Yes the graphics lag is persisting after match start.

As an aside, this game is really really unoptimised considering both the age of it, the age of the engine and how long it's been in production.

I don't think it's only a graphics thing. For the first time since 2013, MWO has serious lag. I've seen considerable targeting and movement delays multiple times already, and it happens separately from some framerate drops. Up until the previous patch my rig could handle MWO and streaming just fine, so this is something else.
