Hey, So i just bought the Kodiak Pack and i am liking him so far *

The kdk-3 with its 4 B-HP is pretty much easy mode to make something great out of.
The KDK-2 has some good brawler quirks so i have set up with jumpjets UAC-20 and a handfull of S-Pulses.

Not really sure what to do with the KDK-1 I currently have him set up for Brawling more or less. 6 M-Pulses and a UAC-10 but it is too similar to my KDK-2 for my liking. i would like something that plays differently.

Any suggestions/Advice would be appreciated.

I got a KDK-5, which is very similar to the KDK-1. I've struggled with it, and eventually come to the conclusion that it just isn't a good variant. At least not compared to the KDK-3 or SB.

Perhaps you could try this:http://mwo.smurfy-ne...cee56b2e7ae0df3

At first leveling this variant was a bit painful
After trying some different builds I settled on
4 large pulses and a bunch O heat Sinks, work to OK - good effect.
This gave me better performance according to the end of game screen numbers on the pug Q
I play pug alot
Changing to 4 er ppc's is a straight swap.

Run 7 MPL and 2 LPL myself, runs hot put it has a killer Alpha.

The KDK-1 and KDK-5 got the least quirks because someone was worried all those energy hard points would make the two OP (going to be a mute issue in the near future anyway) Considering my KDK-3 still rocks after getting hit with the nerf hammer 3 times (ghost heat, AC jams and lost quirks) you just need to be very aware of the Kodiak's limitations. If you go all energy, you wont have high mounts so hill humping is out. You need to shoot/Alpha and scoot and be very aware of where you are on the map considering it a big mech and a kill-on-sight target.

If you want lolz, try 8 MPL and a ER PPC in the center torso for a Care Bear blast of doom! It will keep snipers honest and looks funny as hell.

I went semi-troll with mine and out 2 erll, 6 spl, and 2 alrm 20. It has actually played pretty well for me.

I've grown to like my KDK-1. It is similar to LPL-builds, but runs 8 ER Mediums with a Mk7 Computer to add range. SRMs are usefull when when you get closer, because they generate less heat than the lasers, while haviing a good punch.
