Yeah, I'm grousing... sue me! Posted Image

Seriously folks. You wonder why your getting rained on by LRMs behind cover and a teammate yells "UAV Up!"... Ya might wanna look up and pluck that UAV that's ghosting you out. I'm just say'n.

Personally, I've made it my MWO life's mission to eradicate the sky of these vermin and I always keep a watchful eye out for them. There's a really good reason I usually end a match with at least one if not two - three UAVs under my belt. I'm vigilant... Posted Image

Pro tip: Kill UAVs. That is all...

uavs are easier to shoot down than ever thanks to the wobble animation going away.

boost your poptarting skills when you have ppcs in your torsos. Jump sniping UAVs out of your torso arch will make you an anti UAV pro in no time.

Bravo, sir.. you're doing god's work.

(Side note.. Do you score team damage / team kills for shooting at friendly UAVs?.. IDK, because it would be a Richard thing to do, but I've just been curious about it..)

Each UAV shot down should give the shooter 10000 C-Bills and 500 XP. I saved my team on multiple occasions in maps such as Canyon by shooting down 3+ UAVs from the sides.

Nah leave them UAVs alone. I finally got tired of piloting my heavies and dusted off my light mechs.

And it is huge fun popping UAVs behind the enemy front line. That mostly goes unnoticed.

For some reason we don't have a UAV kill achievement.

agree with OP...in most games people will shoot down the UAVs eventually, but it seems like they only become a priority when missiles are hitting them or the sky is filled with missiles and everyone knows that if the missiles aren't stopped the team will lose.

I think it's more a passive concern and it needs to be more of an active concern in the minds of players

If you are having a hard time hitting an UAV, keep an eye on your range indicator when you're aiming. You will see the range indicator change when your reticle is on target.
