Anyone have 'mechs you'd never play -- just not your style at all -- yet you LOVE seeing them on the battlefield? Declare your love below.

I'll start. First, Atlas. I hate piloting anything that goes <70 km/h, and would never buy a 100-tonner, but goddamn they look boss. If there's one in my team, I'll follow it like a puppy in my medium.

Second, all the new unseen heavies: Rifleman, Warhammer, Archer, Marauder. I love that we now have all of these rolling around, so much more soul on the battlefield. Haven't bought any of them, though I'll buy a Crusader pack if we get one.

Basically every light and medium mech. I'm terrible in anything below 65 tons, and the only mechs in that bracket I force myself to play are non-humanoid clanners. They're too good looking to pass up.

I'd say Atlas. I'm terrible at piloting them, but they look so awesome in the field an in combat.

I'll jump on the Atlas bandwagon too. I can't break 200 damage in them, but man they look good and a good pilot can do great things with them.

I've piloted every mech in the game besides the HGN-IIC. I think it's fair to say I don't admire it from a-anywhere.

I've always liked the Thor/Summoner.

It sucks that they suck in MWO, because I'd like to see more of them.

Try it with gauss/PPC or paired PPCs and a big TC. Not great, but fun.

TarcomV + 2 ER PPCs and that arm omnipod that gives +30% PPC velocity and you got 2,015 ms/s PPCs.

Timbers and Novas. Both scream to me "futuristic battle machine". Alas since they are filthy clan mechs I would never run one. But I will admit that they look cool.

I only own IS mechs.. I just wish that other people would run them more so I could see them with greater frequency.

For me, its the Dire Wolf, from my time in TT, I have a healthy respect for what it can dish out, but in MWO I'm nearly useless in them....

Second place for me is the Storm Crow, I can make most mechs work, but not this one for some reason...

I see them relatively frequently. It's a pet mech of a number of top players (pining for pop tart days).

None. They all look like black blobs at a few hundred meters distance. The same hold for decals, patterns, and colors. <shrugs>

For now, I will prolly name King Crabs and Direwolves as mechs that look awesome, but I will never pilot them. I am good with just seeing those beautiful colossi. Moreover, if you tag along with them and cooperate well, it is likely that your group will score a victory.

However, what I can't wait to see on the battlefield is the Cyclops.

There is no way I am buying that mech ever; however, it looks so awesome that I just want to have them on my team, or as something to shoot at.

I hate to be "that guy," but jfc, trigger discipline, man! It's important because it passively/tangentially conveys good firearm safety to everyone that sees your pics.

That being said, I got a good laugh out of the trash can.

Edit: The 'mech I admire from afar would have to be the Archer. When those bays lift and it vomits death? Hrrrrnnnnggghhh. But, it's not on my wish list right now. First, I gotta get that Huntsman sauce.

I am an Ebon Jag pilot myself. Always have been. I always loved seeing the Highlander IIC's. Going against them too was fun. They are super slow but so deadly. And just the other day I bought my first one. And even though it's slow as a snail it's worth it. I think it's cooler than Kodiak's

To be fair they weren't exactly good in TT either...
