Good News!

PGI is releasing a new mech soon, and you're definitely gonna buy this one...

...because it's YOU. Well, your username at least.

Give us a rundown of what your mech will feature.

For example:

The new Hunka Junk is a 100-ton assault-class Urbanmech that has 4 energy hardpoints on a 360-horizontally rotating head mount. It also runs 159kph and is "The fastest Hunka Junk in the Galaxy". Wookie co-pilot must be purchased as an add-on.

New battlemech announcement from Bad Idea mechworks, the group that brought you the GimpLeg and the ClubFoot.

**The AchingNoodle**.

We saw a huge need for a high-speed field command unit, so we took the body of a Raven stripped off the arms, side torsos, and head and slapped an Atlas head right on the center torso! So now you have a 100KPH capable battlemech with a luxurious Command Console along side the pilot cockpit so your commanding officer can ride along and be highly mobile on the battlefield!

"We tried to give it wings, but only so much metal can be added before there's no more weapons. So we went with that. Unfortunately for us, we didn't know metal feathers weren't capable of producing flight in Battlemechs, so the idea only sold to house Liao, because let's be honest, they buy any terrible mech idea the other Houses gave up on. This thing is so ugly, so bulky, and so useless, you only ever see them one at a time, hence the nickname."

The NAIS has finally unveiled a new design, which will be leased to select Davion factories: the Porphyrogenitus.

At 100 tons, it is truly a Battlemech worthy of an Imperial Heir. Featuring the maximum armor that a mech can carry, and wielding a quartet of Artemis IV enabled SRM 6-packs backing up a trio of Large Pulse Lasers, the crowning achievement for this royal among mechs is the command and control interface, which has managed to surpass that available to the venerable Cyclops, based largely on new technologies developed by the finest minds of the NAIS.

Well the Tank Man could potentially be a serious humanoid-type piece of work Assault 'mech with a wildly angular torso to ablate shells and laser fire, armed with twin Autocannons in the arms as primary weaponry with pulse lasers in the torso bays for point defense backed by a pair of SRM 6 packs up on the shoulders...

Or it could be a little humanoid light 'mech that gets in a "Ree-don-cyu-luss" sized tank and drives that around.

Your call :P

Based on the design concept of the Hollander and Hollander III chassis, the Samyblizs Battlemech is essentially meant to be a 'giant gun on legs'. This 65 ton mech's primary weapon is the massive Heavy Gauss Rifle that takes up nearly its entire left torso, with its only backup weapon being a small laser attached to its right torso mounted head. While its arms are relatively unarmored, its large engine and powerful legs give it a sprinting speed of 97 kph, allowing it to dodge most enemy fire.

It also comes equipped with five fixed jump jets. While most pilots would call the plasma lifters a waste of space, those who have actually taken the helm in a Samyblizs tell a different story. Details tell that anyone piloting this strange mech in a combat zone report a sudden and inexplicable urge to to charge blindly at the enemy and activate their jump jets in an attempt to land on top of them in a 'Death from Above' maneuver. This, along with several other reasons, is why the Samyblizs is rarely fielded. However, the main reason this mech sees very little combat is because hardly anyone in the Inner Sphere can pronounce its name.

And don't even try figuring out what a pair of them is called...

Do you not have enough space on the DropShip for 'Mechs and a salvage vehicle?

Do you not have enough four-legged BattleMechs in your lance?

Do you trust us with millions of your C-Bills?

If you answered "No!" to any of those questions, it doesn't matter, because the RaccoonMech by Lotor MechWorks is probably going to find its way onto your DropShip somehow! (It's a strange issue that we've been working on for years, please don't bring it up in your reviews.)

The RaccoonMech is a 75-ton, quadrupedal, Heavy BattleMech that was designed from the ground up to provide firepower, armor, and salvage capability all in one unit. Serving as a fierce close combat fighter in battle, it is armed with two Medium Lasers, two SRM-6s with a ton of ammunition each, and a Large Laser mounted in a special "tail" module attached to its torso. In addition, the RaccoonMech possesses a proprietary, custom designed Salvage Arm that can rip the components out of any wreckage, guaranteed! (Warning: Ideal salvage with a Lotor MechWorks DNB-816 Salvage Arm is not guaranteed. Testing has revealed that its failure rate is at least 50%. Warranty void if used to salvage Medium Lasers, or cockpit ornaments.) Lastly, the RaccoonMech is protected with 11 tons of Standard armor! While Lotor's Standard armor construction has faced several issues in the past, (especially regarding heat dispersion, force absorption, stain resistance) we have completely revised our methods for the RaccoonMech, providing complete protection for the customer!

If you're interested in what the RaccoonMech has to offer, contact your nearest ComStar employee, and tell them to send a hyperpulse to 1-800-555-555-NOTASCAM. If you order in the next minute, you'll probably get a second one for free because they literally just appear in your DropShip's garbage disposal, and we still need to fix that. Don't let them near trash cans or dumpsters, either. It's for your own good.

The Veridianus...
the idea is this:
100 tons, shaped like the minotaur, 2 A/C 10's, one per arm, the horns are high mounted lasers, and the chest and right torso both have one energy hard point, the left torso will have AMS hardpoints.

FUR-72 Furball
Mass 75 t
300 Standard Engine
14 t Void Signature Armor
2 MRM-30 launchers w/Apollo FCS and 4t ammo
1 Arrow IV Homing Artillery Missile Launcher w/3t ammo
2 Medium Lasers
Angel ECM Suite

Answering the call for a highly mobile artillery unit for use with TAG equipped forces, the Furball is a heavy support unit that represents an unprecedented level of cooperation between the ComStar factions and Houses of the Inner Sphere against the renewed threat of the Clans.
The Angel ECM Suite combined with the Void Signature Armor allows it to operate hidden from both 'Mech sensors and their pilot's eyes.
While it's primary weapon, the Valiant Catapult Arrow IV homing artillery system is useless at short ranges, the Furball is more than capable of mixing it with the enemy at normal 'Mech combat ranges, thanks to the addition of a pair of Shigunga Medium Range Missile 30-pods and a pair of Starflash II Medium Lasers.

KFX-K "Kitsune"

2x C-ERPPC
2x C-ERSL

A Draconis Combine refit of a captured Kit Fox after the Battle of Tukayyid, the KFX-K model features a pair of reverse engineered Type 22 Clan ERPPCs, to suit the DCMS requirements of a long-range direct-fire light skirmisher without the ammunition constraints of the original Kit Fox Prime model, and the Lyran Commonwealth's Hollander. With such an overwhelming weapon load on such a small mech, endo-steel has been used to provide as much available tonnage as possible. Four tons of ferro-fibrous armour is fitted onto the mech, a paltry amount even for light 'Mechs. If spotted, the 'Mech is expected to disengage and reposition at a longer distance.

To fend off any possible infantry attackers, the 'Mech is also equipped with a pair of Series I ER Small Lasers, allowing it to have a minimal amount of close-range defense against lighter 'Mechs and infantry. A total of thirteen double heat sinks distributed in the 'Mech's engine and body keep it barely cool enough to function when using all of its weapons.

The Earthwerks SID-1F Sidefire is the latest in close range mech technology, combining a recognizable torso profile similar to a shortened version of our popular Griffin with low to the ground reverse-jointed legs, shield-like arms based on the tried and true Centurion, and the technological achievements of the modern day to create a low profile, up close and personal brawler. Too different to simply be a variant of the Griffin, the Sidefire is an excellent addition to any military unit.

A fifty five ton jump capable medum mech designed around recently rediscovered Star League technology, it equips two Guided Technologies Streak SRM-4s in each side torso with four tons of reloads, split between the four launchers, making ammunition shortages unlikely for most mission deployments. The ammunition bins are protected by an integrated C.A.S.E. lining, ensuring that, if an ammunition explosion occurs, the pilot will be able to safely eject and the mech will be recoverable. Two Diverse Optics Medium Pulse Lasers in the center torso provide back-up weapons, ensuring that even should ammunition run out, the Sidefire will never be without means of defending itself.

A Hermes XL300 provides a top speed of 88.3 kph and four Luxor Class 3 Jump Jets provide a jump distance of 38.3 meters. With thirteen Double Heat Sinks to keep heat under control and 14.5 tons of Starguard III standard armor protecting its Endo Steel internal frame, the Sidefire is the latest in a line of frontline missile brawlers, taking the proud tradition of the Griffin and carrying it into a new age of technological advancement.

The FFR came up with a novel solution for window cleaning: they would take an AgroMech and stick if full of man-portable flamethrowers reverse-engineered to fire antifreeze. Also, borrowing from the age-old line of thinking outside the box, they decided it was time to resurrect the Land-Air 'Mech. Unfortunately, they did not get the memo that a Land-Air 'Mech as a concept is about as aerodynamic as a brick with two computer fans stuck to it, and most certainly does not hover as much as fenestrate and defenestrate itself from one end of the building to another through the windows.

It became known as the most expensive way of bringing air conditioning to a high-rise, but at least it did what it said on the can: "Clean and brisk windows with no glare!"

The shards of glass inside the building and possible loss of structural integrity was not in the slogan, after all.

the Tanar is a marik designed 45 ton mostly humanoid mech with a flattened half oval shaped head in honor of the urbanmech.

with its 150 degree torso twist it can keep an eye on a large part of the battlefield. with a std 300 engine, endo steel, max armor and energy slot in the CT as well as the head slot it can fire it's twin MPLs even when completely stripped of components! with a ML on each arm it offers additional range and field of fire. it's torso mounted twin srm-2s keeps things symmetric as per hunchback 4sp "specifications". a single jump jet allows it to get past those 6 inch deep potholes that can stop most assault mechs in their tracks!

a reliable support brawler that will make any enemy forces pay if they turned their backs to it for several salvos, the tanar is most definitely a mech!
