Pretty much what the title says.

search times can take up to 10 minutes and when you are waiting for a match, you can not do anything.

You can't see what that flashing button is about.
You can't know if you have a group invite
You can't respond to a message
You can't share TS info to a newly joined group member

YOU CAN NOT DO ANYTHING!

you are just sitting there looking at the spinning wheel forever.

Edit to add: I sincerely think we should have something to do while waiting for a match, between matches, when I'm working in mechlab, when the house is too busy to play but I want to chit-chat with friends/unit, when I'm just too lazy or tired of death-match version-x and just wanna chill a bit ... etc... we shoulda had a good chat system long ago.... sadly, I'm starting to give up on it.
