Ok, So I just bought a Timber Wolf TBR-S, But I hadn't realized that you cant unmounted the JumpJets.

The problem is, I bought it with MC... I would just swith out the torsos, but I cant switch out the center torso.

Is there a way to undo a purchase?
(Or just exchange for one that doesn't have the JJ center torso)

An MC purchase? Not without asking support.

But honestly the TBR-S is not at all a bad center torso. It's best to equip at least 1 JJ anyway on any mech that can have those, that way for very little tonnage you can hover across the canyons in Canyon Network for example. :)

Its also great to change your facing quickly when you cant torso twist quick enough from them pesky lights.

There are a lot of mechs people end up regret buying. The Timberwolf is never one of them.

haha yea no kidding.. that said.. IMO the timber C would of been a much better MC purchase because of the XP/GXP boost..

One last thing, contacting customer support can get you fixed up, They will typically give you a one time "opps" fix, be it c-bills or MC but honestly, like the others said, Keep the S, it is a great mech.. Now just add a C and a prime, to let you unlock elite skills and you will be on your way to being Hooked!

If you need builds for it just ask, Timbers are a hugely popular mech and have tons of flexibility.;

There is a limit to how much benefit that XP boost gives you.

Specifically, it will let you basic/master/elite that single mech 30% more quickly (provided you have additional variants)... after which, you accumulate mech exp that does nothing unless you spend additional MC to convert it.

And, eventually, you will unlock everything, in which case...

So in essence, the trade off is Maneuverability on multiple maps (jump jets let you move in a straight line, rather than slowly twisting and turning around small obstacles, move up onto slightly too high ledges, and so on) which equates to increased offensive capability and survivability

vs.

impatience at unlocking small generic bonuses (some of which carry dubious value) and unlocking expensive bonuses (of which cbills are a greater barrier to acquisition), both of which generally require adept skill to make good use of

You can change the S side torsos to get other side torsos without the other additional jumpjets, but in all seriousness at least one JJ is a huge advantage.
