My personal favorite Whammy IIC is the WHM-IIC-4, mean and directly to the point.

Quirks to the rescue?
It's kinda hard to pick the offensive quirks since both 'Mechs (this and the Warhawk) use ERPPCs or energy weapons which means that if you quirk the WHK for ERPPC/energy, then it could be better than the MAD-IIC at using energy weapons which would be lame (because they should be equally good at it).

I honestly don't care, IS has so many mechs, Clans really do need some variety... That said.. when it does come..
MAKE IT A BUSHWACKER!
Not a matter of perceived "variety" (which both sides have plenty of, tbh) but keeping customers invested. A goodly amount of players are faction loyalists.... Clanners don't give a rip about IS Mechs, Spheroids feel the same about Clan. With PGI doing these 4+ month runs for one side or the other, it leaves some part of the playerbase unsatiated, and likely to spend their money on other games.
That's just bad marketing plan.

Right I keep forgetting JJ's are useless on Assaults since I don't own an assault with JJ's and PGI refuses to just make them work with massive shake, hell with power draw throw in JJ's running (they should produce heat for crying out loud) to help curb fears of poptarting. Then we could have more vertical maps.
they don't produce heat, per se, but they sure do keep you from shedding it. My SMN-Prime (stock) can attest to that... since that is a mech that should be pretty much impossible to overheat.

well, depends on how many MAD-IIC pack ballistics in PGIs reinvention. Because if they do that, yes, the WHK is pretty much useless.

Wallet remains safely closed.
apparently never. HBS has closed up on the initial IS mechs to be in game, so I suppose that removes any real impetus for PGI to make em. And the Clann Whiners are still crying that "IS has too many mechs already".....
Ignoring the fact that if PGI wan't to keep loyalists on both sides actually involved... they realyl need to simply split it, with alternating Clan/IS each month.
Didn't see the HBS announcement o closed up on I.S mechs but they couldn't hold up on it forever, but if there are going to be no more new I.S mechs, I guess I'm spent out as far as MWO goes.

Or the can have 4 mech pack every three months, and between the 3 months we can release singles of whatever mech the playerbase votes on, it seems like a flawless marketing plan tbh.

Only for PPCs, as the Mad IIC can customize itself enough that it probably overcomes any quirks all thanks to being able to mount a larger engine and Endo instead of Ferro.
That's provided the Mad IIC doesn't come with PPC quirks itself since at least the first configuration is a PPC boat itself.

IIC4 for me, also. Though I usually just ran 2 SSRM6 racks on mine.

I'm sure there will be, but not much of a priority...and even less for 3025 era ones, unless they have a deal set for later DLC expansions for Battletech
