I just uploaded the combined scores of the lights fight event into a table calculation tool and plotted the data of all pilot/mech combinations into a whisker plot (10/90 percentile, 7 outliers).

Recently the same was done for the medium madness event:

Normal distribution in all groups (no accumulation of bad or great pilots in each group), although Raven and Commando had some great pilots in their groups so the significance is a bit weaker here.

May it help you in the choice of your next chassis. Feel free to discuss.

Good job.

So what will PGI do with the ACH now that it's proven to be extremely OP (i.e. a decent light mech that wasn't hamstrung by the rescaling)? Will they apply negative quirks? Or will they just normalize Clan SPLs and SLs until they're as hot as cERMLs?

Whatever the maths say....

I'm guessing lights will be treated as viable and slightly OP.

Anyone wanna bet commandos get a nerf?

Dunno. I think all what can be said about the topic was already said. Imo the light mech class is in trouble. Simply because speed is negated by the sluggishness of lights and the bloated agility quirks of heavies and assaults and the new size of the light mechs. In turn for speed you give up range, dps/big alphas, structure and armour. You are simply better off when you take a fast medium mech.

Sure, soon we will have a lot of people in this thread who yell that lights are fine. Usually those people have a pitiful number of matches played on light mechs (quelle surprise!) or are T4-5

My prediction, though:
Locusts and ACH get another nerf
Commandos get also a nerf (luk at dat event score!11!)

Wow the Adder did better than I expected! I'm glad I bought a few with the sale, they sure can hit hard but it desperately needs MASC!

Jenner placed pretty well for being rescaled. Guess a few people know how to use it. ;)

Ya the oxide is still a good mech. I didn't see any of the others out there.

Thanks OP for putting this together. A bit surprised the firestarter didn't do better. Data confirms Cheetos prowess.

I find that in matches with fewer lights medium long range builds do better with the lights IE 3erlll or 3llas Raven or 4mplas Jenner IIc and just for fun (er)PPC panthers.

The hardest I have ever been whacked by lights was in group play where the enemy would engage with their main force and the firestarters would run in at the same time. This had as much to do with teamwork than just the chassis.

PGI might remove the rest of the positive quirks, for starters... :P
