I don't die as fast as mediums, but other assaults do thanks to 2 CUAC10s and 3 CUAC5s Charging out into the open, being shot at by 5 mechs and killing 3 assaults before going down not too shabby.:3 (Gotta love it when MM puts many T5 in my game).

not as fast as a med... but definitely a heavy.
A Dire looses on head to head brawls with heavies.
cocky Mad Cat pilots have walked right up to me in a Dire and killed me in head to heads.

...but maybe its just me... yeah, i'm sure its just me. n/m

As with any Assault mech (except maybe the Stalker), twisting is a must. Staring each target down without doing so means most of their damage is going to go straight to your CT. King Crab has the exact same issue, if not worse, but it still manages to be a mean mamma jamma.

The only situation when a direwolf will win a head on faceoff is when the enemy is caught by surprise and has no time to react, for the only good thing of a direwolf right now is the ability to carry more weapons than the US Army.

If you're facing a timber wolf, an atlas or even a king crab and they have time to turn you're done 95% of the times.

Direw wolves just do not sustain as much punishment as they should.

ps: miss old MW4 days.

I dont know that the Direwolf needs any help at all. One of my favorite mechs and packs a huge punch, just need good positioning and spacial awareness to be used to its full potential. It still gets focused due to its huge damage potential hence you die.

Doesn't have much to do with hitboxes. Dire Wolves who aren't good at positioning themselves get focus fired. They're slow, they can't torso twist too much, and everyone knows that they pack enough firepower in each side torso to make the CT a preferred target in many cases.

One of the squishiest 'mechs in the game, super slow twist and worthless arms for shielding damage. Good thing they're one of the deadliest, too. I hate driving them.

12v12 hurts mechs like DWFs. Technically 12 hurts a lot of mechs but with those useless arms, everything hits the ST or CT.

I applaud the blend of comedy and sarcasm conveyed with this simple video :D

It's not 'squishy', it's just not adept at twisting damage or getting out of bad situations quickly.
