Make Domination Circle Dynamic

-Domination now has three circles that single spawns in different locations.
-Each circle is present for 5 minutes of play. After 5 minutes, the circle despawns and a new circle spawns.
-No more timer count. Instead, each circle requires the other team to dominate the circle by having the most tonnage in the circle before the 5 minute timer.
-The more tonnage your team has in the circle, the more points you gain. A 100 ton Atlas is worth 5 locusts.
What does that do? It turns Domination from a fricken spawn camp into a phase that requires get in quick, fight, and actually dominate the bubble and then get ready to move for the next circle spawn.

I don't even select it anymore. It's a bad version of Skirmish. You know that spot where all the fighting happens? Yeah, now it's mandatory to fight there.

Good luck with that.

Foe example:
Alpha and Beta: Double current diameter.
Alpha or Beta: Current diameter.
None: Half current diameter.
Alpha and Beta should be shielded for ranged weapons on some maps or it would be too simple.

The problem with Alpha+Beta is that they are generally irrelevant like 80+% of the time... especially when people hit it when it's not ever necessary at that very moment (and it's not like you get C-bills/XP for doing so).

They can be used to win games sometimes:
The idea is to make them more useful and worth try defending.

Dynamic game modes are always the most fun. Moving objectives ensures that you need to make tactical and strategical decisions on the fly, it ensures you will need to fight on all areas of the map, and it prevents gameplay from going stale by setting up the same team movements in every... damn... match.
But yeah, Domination should be dynamic too.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. It's just "more often than not" that those points are generally irrelevant.
It would be nice if they were more relevant, but that would require Russ's ear.

You very well know this is Lostech.

Start centre.
Each cap has X points that can be harvested by mechs standing in the circle, even if that circle is contested. Mechs hit by enemy fire can't harvest for X seconds.
After a set time or all the points have been harvested the circle it switches to either left or right spawn. Repeat until one side has the required number of points.
The real downside of such a mode is, as with every mode - respawns. If the above was added it would still be better to kill all the enemy mechs then to try and go for the objective. If respawns were added (even just a mini drop deck of 2) this mode could be viable

Anyone who isn't trolling just to put a negative vibe on this forum has to use their head a bit to see how it all works.
Good topic though. I am about 90% sure they got people hired to make notes of whats going on in these forums and taking notes of good ideas or what ever.
