P.S. should we just coin "Bad@Mechs" now, or wait until open release?

1. this is why the devs did not want to let people leave their mechs, COD folks would hop out and try to "double eagle" a mech.
2. people complained there was no use for flamers...there ya go, crowd control for groups that like "small arms"...

Being an elitist or not isn't the point. CoD used to be a great game (and so are many other (fps-)games) imo - just think of Call of Duty: United Offensive - but there has been little to no progression in that genre. but that's gonna be offtopic..
anyway, i need targets

I still think the mech took far too long to shoot them away tho....

Sorry, that's a load of bull poop. The comments were clearly directed at the players, not the stagnation of the franchise.

That said, can't say about the other FPS but I've played a few. From the FPS's to strategy and adventure games and I can guarantee you that there will be in MWO, as there are in other FPS games (and yes MWO is an FPS even if it is more simulated and you are in a giant mech stomping around), people who will not grasp of team play and team work.
You will get the "you stole my kill! Waaaa!" reactions and others very much like it in MWO you can be sure of that. All I know is that it will be a team effort and the final kill should not matter that much.
What ought to matter is how much damage you do to the enemy before it dies. This way even if you don't get the final kill you get more points for pretty much annihilating the opponent when someone else, who's just been waiting for you to strip that armor from the enemy, comes dashing in on a fast light mech and puts the killing blow on it. Would mean many of the hangers on that wait for the kill shot, instead of shooting all the time, would not get as much reward as the one who did most of the damage to the enemy.
