[Humpday]

I can't do it anymore, I'm starting to get cranky playing this game with people that just can't play with any sort common sense or some for of semblance of team effort.

Can someone point me in a direction to join up with a group(s) to play with? Heck just somewhere just to start looking for a group, I'll join anything at this point...this game ims giving me heartburn

Stick with it - you will be unpleasantly surprised to find out that most units are literally no better than pugging alone. Queing up as a group also puts you against other groups who may be much better than yours as well.

Don't get too frustrated - when you find yourself on a streak of bad teams, take some time to do other things like experiment in the mech lab and try out different things in the explore academy.

Unfortunately, getting matched up with crappy teams in puglandia is just part of the game. You just have to learn to accept the bad ones with the good, and when on a 'bad' team, get on comms/chat and try to steer people in the right direction as much as possible.

Being that you're a wolf loyalist, hop on the CWI teamspeak - while not everyone there will be an expert, they are very fun to drop with.

T4, T3, T2, and I'd imagine T1 are all the same in Quick Play (solo queue). It's controlled chaos and every person for themselves. Sometimes a tactic will emerge and the pack will move as a whole, but for the most part, it is chaos.

I just learn to accept it, especially because I know no amount of posting on the forums ever changed anything.

Best you can do is try to coordinate with your team. Sometimes it works, sometimes they ignore you...heck, sometimes it works, you lose, and they blame your tactic lol.

It is what it is. Really you just need to roll with the punches. Basically play it for fun and don't get to hung up on the losses or strategy. Embrace the chaos! If that doesn't work for you, then I'd try organizing group drops. Normally there is a little more cooperation and strategy with groups...normally.

Given how much I saw T1 players in my games when I was T5, I doubt it's any different at any tier. There aren't enough T1 players to fill out their own queue.

T1 players don't play with t5 per Russ. They will play with t4 but only after the t1 waits for a long time.

When I did [Redacted] drops with house Marik on Mondays it was very rare to fight with anyone other than the other t1 players.
T1 Players on average waited twice as long for a match too.

The biggest issue is there isn't much difference between t1 and t3 players

[Redacted]... I spent a lot of time mastering Locusts before the re-scale that really gutted my PSR... now when I do play, I do better than average for my team.

There are not enough players to fill out any single tier.

Does it get a LITTLE better moving up from t4-5 to t3? T5 to t4 was like going backwards, i think the teams got worse.

Generally speaking T4 will play with anyone, T3 plays against anyone, T2 plays against anyone... thing is, in quick play, it's all luck of the draw as far as ones team goes.... If you want any real change in quaility of games, join a unit and do group play.

Units (Guilds): Speaking of Units, you should consider joining one! Units in MWO behave the same way that guilds do in other games. They are your best chance to find friendly allies to drop with in-game, as well as to gain friends who will help you improve your gameplay experience. My own Unit, The Brethren Pirates [TBRN], is always recruiting (Website: brethrenmwo.enjin.com). Other good Units include The Cadre [BOSS], The Praetorian Legion [PL], The MarineMechs [MM], and The Grog Corps [GROG]. These Units all represent good casual groups of players as well as some semi-competitive or competitive teams.

Yes. I have topped the leader boards just simply by playing in a T3 alt and farming. While the T1 queues have a lot of filler players, the T5-3 is very noticibly worse skilled and the amount of dmg and kills it is possible to farm there, consistantly, far surpasses T1 accounts.

I'm talking 600 avg match scores and 25-50kdrs while 100% solo.

There are good days and bad days. Today was my bad day as I kept getting on teams that seemed to be composed of inexperienced players (I'm T2).

Some highlights....

Stalker with 4x LRM15 and NOTHING else.

LRM Warhammer ( how is this a thing?) firing missiles at target under 180m away.

Arctic cheetah on my team engaging an enemy mech that had ONLY I.S. standard PPCs at ranges outside 90m dispite my pleading with them to close range and get under the PPC min.range.They got destroyed.

Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory...Kodiak team mate calls for a push So I roll in my Scorch beside them and follow on their lead. We cut the corner and imediatley splatter a Direwolf then a Supernova and then...we were the only two mechs to push and got slaughtered.With the momentum we had IF ANYONE ELSE followed we would have broken the enemy but...nope it's better to hide and watch your assault mechs get blown to bits than break cover and shoot at the bad guys.

Some days the derp is to strong so join em and play some experimental mechs ( I bought an Urbie and derped around with triple MGs and twin Lrg Lasers)

PSR is slanted towards advancing so as long as you're not actually terrible you should advance I just wish I could tell you it gets better but,bad days still happen.

Eventhough, your team may have lost the match badly ...it's still possible for you to contribute significantly and don't have to feel bad.

Hope for a better team in the next match.

No. And having just moved into T2 nothing has changed. A PSR bar cannot filter out stupid people.

Well, nowadays, Solo is filled with potatoes who cant play.

You WILL have lots of stomps and losing streaks but that has more to do with how the game is structured.

This of it as thus: the enemy team is just as bad, its gonna come down to @ 4 players between both teams that determine if anything happens.


And besides, back when i started before PSR, i would drop in Solo vs a team with 6 LORDS and get one shotted not even 2 minutes into the match.

At least the potato fields of today give you a chance to farm a LRMer if you are clever enough.

I don't know what you expect to change as you up tiers. But everything is basically the same, except people are better shots. If people is going to find selfish lrm play efficient to milking damage numbers, then you bet they will continue to do it in t1. To truly get the team, like everyone knows their stuff feeling, you have to drop with top tier teams.

(And I'm not afraid to admit, mine is huge, but we aren't it)

Then you have to ask yourself, are you good enough to run with those guys?
