I wouldn't mind hear my pilot making some funny comments or maybe a taunt whenever he lands or takes a hit.
"That looks like it hurts."
"Burn Baby Burn."
"Hear me baby, hold together."
I think a silent cockpit might be odd. You take a laser to the face and you hear crickets. I think a little pilot commentary might be fun. They pilot Mechs, they're not Mechs themselves. Obviously there are going to be people who don't like this, so there should be an option to disable this.

The idea is that you are the pilot though. If you want to hear that stuff then why not just say it?

Yeah, I feel like it breaks the immersion a bit. I'm not watching a movie of someone pilot a mech, I'M piloting the mech, ya know?
But if you can turn this off it'd be fine, but I don't think the default should be one.

I feel like it breaks up the monotony of taking a Gauss Rifle to the face. Might be fun, might not. I think if it's done well it could be a good thing.

I'd rather have a computerized voice stating that I hit someone or that there was damage received than some voice actor pretending to be me. I'm the pilot, I make my own taunts.
