Will that alter your purchases going forward?

I thought PGI had done away with the whole collector pack approach and was going with individual mech sales. Does this mean there will be more collector packs in the future, or will next year's loyalty mechs be awarded with some unknown criteria?

The only thing that would affect my purchases going forward is if one of the packs contained the Quadrupeds.

Since PGI is doing a business, I'm wondering how they thought that this will increase sales. Sure that people will buy more mechpacks but at the same time, they could be saving their MC money for packs.

° Fixed a bug where players would pick Domination.

° Fixed a bug where players would try to cap points before killing enemy team.

No because I'm not buying a promise. The free Mech is a bonus, nothing else. And since I'm mostly buying the 20$ pack anyway, I have all options upgrading to a CE if I really like a Mech.

No, because I've got about 150 mechs, all kitted out with engines and fully equipped, ready to play, I've got probably 50 different modules, and I've mastered just about everything. Spent hundreds of dollars so far.

I've got enough stuff. I need more content.

(In other words, I probably won't buy any mech packs in the future anyway, unless they offer something completely new, like melee weapons or stealth armour. And even then, I will be hesitant.)

Yeah, I'll probably get a couple IS collectors packs because that is all I need. Going to wait and see the next two mech releases, hopefully at least one of them is good and isn't a light, because then I can get that and then upgrade my Cyclops pack.

It won't make a difference to me, if I like the camo and the mech I will buy the collector packs. If I don't, I'll buy the basic pack. I got the kodiak collector pack but the viper basic pack.

The Rewards program still lists Collector Packs as the requirement.
If PGI came out and said "in the future we'll get rid of Collector pack requirement but this particular year, you are stuck with it" - that's the worst stand they could take.

As for how it impact purchasing decisions - when the rewards first came out, I didn't realize it was just collector packs that qualified. I planned on making the purchases necessary to complete the requirements for all of the rewards. But once I realized it was only collector packs that qualified - and I had no interest in getting the collector packs (and very little interest in buying the packs i would have bought to get the rewards) - that made the decision for me: I'll not worry about the rewards program this year.

I can't speak for my purchasing plans for next year - but the collector pack requirement certainly convinced me to not make purchases I would have otherwise made this year.

But stuff is content! Also, why would players need new maps or game modes when they only use a very small portion of the current maps!

No, because I got enough PokeMechs. I don't need another RatattaMech or PidgeyMech just because it's a different color and has pointier ears then the one I already have.

If you bought those before October of last year they don't count.

*edit*
If you bought them today it will update your qualified tiers tomorrow.

Considering that I'm getting the IS ones, I wish I could trade them all away for the loyalty Centurion AH and complete my three fates set...

Yes, I won't buy pre-order or buy Mech Packs between July and September.

Last year I bought the top packs during that period. But that means I didn't qualify for this year's loyalty Mechs. And I'm not going to pay $80 for 4 duplicate Mechs that I already got in the other base packs I bought..

So, fine, I won't pre-purchase Mechs until September onwards this year.

I don't care, I play the game and there are times I don't. mechs I buy and mechs I don't.

If P.G.I make enough mechs I want or like, I'll buy them and I might qualify if I don't I'll feel a bit meh, and look see if there are some I might have and reconsider, if after that I don't I certainly won't be making endless posts about it, but move on.

If something is available to me, if I make certain actions or payments, I'm left a choice, what does get me very angry, is free virtual goods given out for attending conventions that are not available to others.

At least with SWTOR, the cantina codes can be used like referrals, given out up to 10 times.... still best exclusive I ever got from a live event was Murky the pet Murlock in WoW....
