So, from what I've seen during this event, probably the top 50 or so players are aimbotting in virtually every match. My question to PGI is, are these people going to be disqualified, since you obviously cannot detect the hacks they are using? (Most appear to be using "wall" or "map" hacks, where they know exactly where every player is on the map, as well as the aiming assist program.)
If you're not going to disqualify these idiots, why do you even have these events? There is virtually no way for any reasonable player to get an overall 10 game score of 3600 or better without some sort of aid due to the nature of the game. If anyone playing says otherwise, I would consider them immediately suspect, since they are likely using some sort of aid as well.
Looking forward to PGI's response to this one.
My first 2 games in an assault during this event were worth 360+ points (got less lucky after that and time didn't allow to continue the grind) AND I am currently in the bracket you are describing as probable "aimbotters", "wallhackers", "maphacker" and even "idiot".
That while I'm even refusing to use macros,...
I have been playing MWO for a very long time and I can honestly say that occurrences where I would even start to possibly consider a player might maybe be cheating rather than being better than me to be extremely rare and few apart.
And that was before the ban-wave. It's even better now.
Just as in most of life's disappointments, it is always best to reflect on your own actions (performance) before starting to blame others. A difficult concept in this day and age, but I would propose you try it once. It will bring serenity,...
