You need to keep in mind the fundamental function of the match maker is greatly compromised if the active player base is low.

In other words, if you play off peak hours then all bets are off for match making.

Sad but true. When que times are horrendous, and MM opens up the flood gates to more tiers... Thats when i farm match score...

You have to build a drop deck of 4 Mastered 'mechs = 12 'mechs ranging from lights to assaults. You get punished for this.

What? You can drop a trial deck and do over 1500 damage in it easily. I did with the clan one without even breaking a sweat. Zero modules, consumables, mech levels...
One of the mechs I used a trial DWF which is pretty much the biggest no-no around. How do you do this? Teamwork.

Anyway to the rest of the post. Currently my win rate over my entire account history is just over 60% and KDR is 1.51.

When I started 10 months ago KDR was around 0.8 and around 35% match win for the first 3 months while I got my head around the game/builds/what works etc.

3 months ago my KDR was around 1.3 with 50% match win.

So to up it from those pretty bad stats to those current ones (which continue to improve), means that the PSR system isn't total rubbish. I jumped from mid T2 bar to a maxed T1 bar in less than 5 weeks of QP matches. It simply rewards those who play as a team, in a team game, when this happens - you win. I play every mech class these days as well.
While the PSR system is not the best implementation of a MM system, it's certainly not broken.
