If i understood the new Energy Draw System correctly,
A triple ER-PPC would consume 40.5 energy, and would have exceeded 10.5, and produced 5.25 heat.
TBR-A PPC Sniper
Adding 5.25 heat, with 27 heat capacity of 18 heat-sinks would directly add 19.44% heat, every full energy cap that is, and with 20 Energy/sec, filling it within 1.5s. With 4s recycle, that would mean that the energy cap is always full when the 3x ER-PPC is ready to fire. And with 2.7/s heat dissipation would remove the excess heat within 1.944s. Adding another ER-PPC, would put the excess to 24, and the added heat to 12, which is dissipated 4.44s. Or one can wait extra 0.5s for another safe 4x ER-PPC/
If i really understood it correctly, does this mean that it made ER-PPC a lot more heat-friendly? I didn't calculated ghost heat, should i have? Is there other catch that i have missed?
I am kind of asking because i am quite perplexed with how this solved the issue of heat of the ER-PPC. Currently steering clear with that kind of build mainly because of it's immense heat, but right now the issue has been almost washed away that i couldn't help to think that there is more to this than what it seems. While i would be quite happy that my 3x ER-PPC would finally work, it seems to be too good to be true for me.

You'd still generate 47.25 heat per alpha and have super low sustained dps.

It isn't alpha, it's just the 3x ER-PPC for sniping. that means you don't use the 6 ER-Small Lasers in an alpha. I never really did use alpha. Just as well, while DPS is nice, my common tactic with 3x er-large lasers is hit-and-run, DPS isn't really my main goal but to deal burst damage from a distance.

3 ER PPCs generate 47.25 heat when fired simultaneously, that's horrible for a lousy 30 damage. You need 9.5 sec do dissipate that heat with 5 heat/s dissipation, that results in 3.17 sustained dps. It's much better to use dual Gauss at this point.

If you consume more Energy than you have available in your Energy Status Bar, the Critical Energy Indicator will light up to indicate that you have incurred a Heat Penalty. This Heat Penalty applies an additional .5 Heat for every point of Energy over which you have exceeded the Energy currently available in your Energy Status Bar.
According to the page https://mwomercs.com...ic-test-session, 1 er-ppc does 13.5 energy, and with 40.5 (3x 13.5) exceeding 30, the excess 10.5 is generated as 50% heat. I don't know where you get your value from.

Oh Jeez, each ER PPC generate 14 heat when fired. 3 of them makes it 42. Energy draw adds additional 5.25.

47.25 heat for 30 damage, even long range FLD, is simply too hot.

I see. Well, i don't really mind that much heat. It's not like i could load 2x gauss on my TBR-A, with still ample equipment for close-range combat. https://youtu.be/gl8inSE687Y?t=2m3s still shows promising heat than what i usually deal with before.
