Anyone have experience with A Time of War, the Battletech RPG?

I was recently cruising my local geek shop when I picked up the book for this. It was quite an intriguing item, and seems to carry with it a bit of a D&D flavor (though at a glance seems more complex).

Anyways, I am looking for some tips to get started. Does anyone know of any online groups who play this? I know my local store has a weekly game, although my busy schedule and the general disposition of my friends makes it difficult to form a consistent group.

I've built a few characters with it, easiest to use a spreadsheet work book to do it, as there are more than a few calculations that use several numbers to get to the final value. As an aside, building a L.A.M. pilot is hard, doable but hard.

As for an online group, try Google plus, or the Battle Tech forums.
