4 versus 4 simply isn't enough to REALLY test this out. People are building their mechs for 1v1, so they are taking less ammo and far more heat sinks. There is also way higher alpha builds that would be ripped apart in a 12v12 or even 8v8 scenario after their first couple of shots.

Personally, I'm trying to keep my builds in mind of sustainability in a match, rather than something crazy like double LB-10x 6 small laser timber wolf (I'm not doing so great against 7 large pulse banshees and battlemasters :( )

If you, PGI, really want to get some accurate feedback and data, TEST THE GAME HOW IT IS PLAYED. Have faction warfare drops available, and let 12v12 matches play out on the PTS.

For that to work so would their need to be as many players as on live servers and faction play has issues even there.

everyone has a valid point, but right now he is right, its large alpha warrior still. Getting cored out by 6 ppc's in the first 2 minutes without firing a shot doesn't really let me test anything. Having more players in a match will help. 8v8 I think would work better for actual usable results.

You can use the Testing Grounds to actually test load-outs. It gives you the time to actually see how different combinations are effected by the new system. Hard to really compare when you have 4 guys trying to kill you. I do think that adding more to the drops would be beneficial to see how the new system relates to TTK. 4 v 4 is not a good indication of how it will be in 12 v 12.

But it's better to get some data from 4 vs 4 games then none due to no matches being found,
