I posted on another thread about my experience in 3.5 years of playing this game as well as in various threads in the past about the decline of the number of players and always certain people say its just fine.I think it deserves its own thread where I will take this.

Well it's not fine,I have enjoyed this game for what it was and is for these past few years and have had fun as well as anger for it not turning to what I and many others wanted it to be.When I first joined my gaming group several years ago there would be about 40 or so of us that wer regularly playing MWO and our TS drop ships sub channels would be all full and then some (these are the up to 4 or 8 player lance days) It stayed this way till about 2 years ago then our group started declining other merc units I have talked to have seen the same now it is lucky if I see a couple people in MWO TS channels.

My friends List used to be massively populated but now I see about 5 or 6 max on at time..Many on here act like this is just fine but it isnt at all.I don't know if most of the people on here have their head in the sand or what but we need to realize the problem or we can't address it.The whistling past the grave yard thing doesn't help it at all.

I know there are others out there who compare their friends list now to the way it used to be 2012' and 2013' and have to frustrated as well. PGI never advertised for the game that I have seen other developers do for the games even the Steam release was poorly timed against a massive Steam sale that was on the same day.I mean wow you couldn't plan it worse

Am i supposed to read your paragraphs and conclude on the player base as a whole? Could their advertisement be better?

They are going to Mechcon December so that might be some good publicity.

hmmmm, what else

Just because your friends left doesn't mean new players haven't come in. Your evidence that the player base is declining is tenuous at best.

I am okay with a tiny elite remaining. Fighting potatoes just induces rage.

I've been in Tier 5 for two months. Most of that has been from grinding up the PSR in a Jenner. Since switching to a Warhammer during the grind, I am very close to Tier 4.

During this 2 months+ in Tier 5 Land, I have only seen 5 or 6 names repeat in over 200 matches. I think the bottom Tiers of the game are healthy, but the maxed out players at the top might be suffering.

Notice when someone like the OP posts, they are Tier 1 and 2 saying their friends list is empty. We don't see the same from lower Tiers. Makes me think that people who have maxed out the game may not be about this genre and are just looking for the next grind.
