Hundreds of World Championship games have been played. How the top European/American teams and their players are performing on a daily basis based on Season 2 statistics of Leaderboard? 23.08.2016) I have omitted those players who have played under 10 games during season 2.
Here you are:
If I had to bet my money on World Championship winner I would say EON. Based on average score of top 5 EU and top 5 American team members (PUG games Season 2) the top 10 is:
EON 364 EU
Lords 355 EU
Lords 352 NA
Russian CFJ 331 EU
MS Redshirts 327 EU
Steel Jaguar 325 NA
Empyreal 324 NA
Storm Jaguar 316 NA
Black Spikes 310 EU
228th BW 306 NA
If you want to know, which team's players have been the deadliest (K/D ratio):
Empyreal 6,11 NA
Steel Jaguar 5,12 NA
228th BW 3,74 NA
EON 3,47 EU
Lords 3,35 EU
Lords 3,08 NA
MS Redshirts 2,74 EU
Russian CFJ 2,56 EU
Storm Jaguars 2,53 NA
Black Spikes 2,24 EU
Whose players train most (based on average games of team members)? Based on this information, I would say that the Americans count on quality, not quantity.
Black Spikes 261 EU
Russian CFJ 220 EU
EON 214 EU
Lords 160 NA
Empyreal 154 NA
Lords 149 EU
MS Redshirts 102 EU
Steel Jaguar 99 NA
Storm Jaguars 79 NA
228th BW 55 NA
But if you look who is training probably as a group (I think that win/lose ratio tells much about that. Also the K/D ratio combined to that information). Win/Lose ratio:
228th BW 9,12 NA
Empyreal 6,39 NA
Steel Jaguar 6,19 NA
Lords 3,68 NA
Storm Jaguar 2,58 NA
EON 2,57 EU
Lords 2,47 EU
Black Spikes 2,16 EU
MS Redshirts 2,07 EU
Russian CJF 1,96 EU
Who are the top notch pilots? I think the average score is one of the best ways to tell. Of course K/D ratio is important too.
Name, average score and K/D ratio

L3golas 500 and 4,87

As a WDMC player I must include my team as our team 1 got a little lazy during last weeks and dropped their position in the World Championships EU from second to seventh (with average total score of 301).
WDMC
coe7 364 and 2,50
Pineapple Salad 347 and 3,06
Ssamout 337 and 2,28
Who are the no-lifers (games played)? Here you go:
CTapuk noxa6bl4 1024 games Black Spikes EU
Igor Kosyrev 491 games EON EU
prtNspz 442 Empyreal NA
psichih0lic 430 Lords NA
skatenok 424 Black Spikes EU

xCico 389 EON EU
Bows3r 382 Lords EU
Aby 354 Black Spikes EU
Nova in Water 333 Empyreal NA
TheSlimShady 315 Black Spikes
Thanks for PGI for offering this interesting information to players. Numbers do not tell about tactics, ability to speak clearly during the matches, ability to point right targets etc. PUG games are not the best way to analyze teams but it gives us an educated guess

I agree. You could get stomped in solo PUG with a 0.2 KDR, but be deadly in a team.

And yet, I have been put against some of these people in both PUG and group QP. Well at least I can say I have been in matches against some of the greatest players of this game (I can't really say "fought against" since that would suggest I am capable of putting up a fight against such players, and that is obviously not true). Ah the joys of T3, I guess.

This is what a Tier 1 player should look like. I really doubt all Tier 1 players have a statlines like this.

This isn't really a good metric, the best way to practice is scrimmages, which are not done in pubs, and a lot of teams practice in lobbies whether it be scrims or against each other so again, this isn't really a good indication as to how much a team practices.

For Quicksilver and others. I know that there are multiple of variables for measuring top teams and players. This is just a one. But you have to remember that PUG games are basic building blocks for skill for every player in the game. Scrims and competitive drops are a different world as the opposition is much harder. Roles are more tight, mechs vary a little and bad tactics might screw your performance totally.
But you can't still dismiss hundreds of games in the PUG row. Good players stand out in the long run as you can see from the statistics. It doesn't matter if you were playing a new chassis or you played most of your games in KDK. Mediocre players do not get the average score or KD of best players even if in old KDK-3.
I am not stating that these statistics are referring straight to the performance in the competitive field, but it is a decent view to the player base in the best teams.
Take this post as just a one angle for analyzing competitive teams.
If you Quicksilver statethat PUG training is not a good metric for training, I must disagree a little. When you are scrimming or training in a lobby it is another thing. If your team members will go to PUG row after your sessions to train more, it shows up there. Every PUG game is extra training in that sense. Almost all top teams are scrimming and doing lobby training.

Solo pugging can be useful for keeping situational awareness sharp since there is often no comms and PUGs don't always behave as you are used to, but it can also build bad habits like using your team as a meat sponge. Group PUGs can be useful for making sure you have communication going between your team, but is rarely more than that because of the widely varying skill level.
Scrims and lobbies are much better for practicing however, provided you maintain focus throughout that practice.

Nope. If you have a 0,2 KDR in soloque you wont be deadly in a team. Sorry
I was going extreme with the stat, but your stats will be better in a team you drop with all the time compared to just doing solo PUGs. You can't depend on random players. Some games I've been in, my team or the other team has been wiped in 3 minutes. Don't know how you get a 7+ KDR in a situation like that.

Has nothing to do with those stats.
