Bear in mind "gremlins with the leccies" might simply translate to "you can't fit fancy modules" in this game; An interpretation which would allow the Bushie to debut at about the same time as the Clanners..

When it takes weeks in real time to travel to different planet this 1/1 thing doesnt make sense. Scotty isn't up there to beam us up. Read a few of the novels ,plz.

It took weeks to travel to a planet on the other side of the system. Once you were in a jump ship you could jump and then make another jump in a few hours and jumps were almost instantaneous.
