With new PTS I found myself looking down to the energy bar a bit too often(every 1-2 seconds!). Sure I didn't practise with a particular build as I wanted to test them all---in many cases a centre placed energy bar (see MASC) can help a lot.

Of course if someone wants to keep energy bar down there it's fine, just make it an option.

By the way, PTS2 looks promising, some of my friends that were driven away by instant TTK and vomit meta actually came back and helped testing. I know how much people (or entire human race really) hate changes but I think this might actually work.

Center screen around/to one side of the reticle would make it a lot easier to manage ED without having pre-worked it out in the mech bay.
