Watch the heat bar when I alpha, first on the testing range, and then in a real match (private lobby).



There's an inconsistency here. Which one is working as intended? Same build, fired the same way, on the same map.

Well, i built that Nova as close as I could on smurfy and it is listed as having a heat cap of 63.

Under the current rules, that alpha would have generated a total of 66 heat (penalty and all).

Under the old system it would be 54, which is roughly 85% of your heat capacity.

So, the training grounds does not appear to be up to date.

How many DHS did you put on it?

Also Rouken, you're forgetting that lasers deal heat over the duration of the burn, meaning DHS have more time to control it, and the Nova Prime has quirks for ER Laser heat.

I think it's the test range that's off here.
