Over all this is what I imagine the new heat draw system to be like than in the first test. There are still some things that should be adjusted a little bit but beside from that it feels over all right.

Every type of Heavy or Assault mech will have to do some fire control by firing your less Energy Draw system first and then your higher last. If you don't have a shot for too long then fire your higher Draw first because your not in a committed battle yet.

I have a build on my Ebon Jaguar with 2 LP, 3 ERM, and 3 SP and I used to be able to fire all that at the same time if the opponent was close to me. Now if they are close to me I fire two groups only and it also creates less heat because I'm not going to us my long range weapons, instead I fire my 3 ERM first and then my 3 SP and I can still cycle between those groups very fast and be able to fire longer in sustain combat. You can also do this with 6 or 8 ERM buy splitting the groups by 3 or 4 and you can fire one after another very fast almost no waiting and if you need that final punch you should still be able to fire your LP to get the killing blow if needed.

I think one thing people are missing is that all heat sinks are getting a buff in this new system. This encourages people to do more sustain fighting rather than sitting in the far back poking for too long because they think their build is too hot.

For me I will miss being able to alpha with my brawlers but I understand why I can't just simply do that anymore and I'm fine with that because all I have to do now is fire my AC20 first and then my SRMs and again almost no delay in firing.

I'll admit at first I did not know what to think but now with PTS2 I feel we are on the right track. I am looking forwarder to seeing this new system in the game, good hunting Mechwarriors.
