Man this contact really must owe you bg to "influenced" Russ, if you can you add either Commando IIC or Urbie IIC with it to? I'll support the Nightstar

Hmm well we've got leverage on him so I'll see what can be done.

If we're adding mechs from the far future, i'd rather have the Argus.

I'd love to say Crusader, but it's going to be the Bushwanker.

I must admit that I really am in need of a new series of Lights. It seems like there has been no light love in some time. After a bit of research on the forum the wasp/ stinger/ Valkyrie seem to have quite a few threads. Might be interesting if they give it some quirk love and hard point revisions. I would definitely buy some mixed pack of these. The wasp and the stinger really are just variants of the same mech.

Would love the Spector or Wraith though.

Honestly i dont care if they add it or not, but NGNGs twitter featured a pic of the Uziel and ive a sneaking suspicion it was a portent of mechs to come to MWO.

I'm pretty sure it was just a random piece of fan-art they always use when tweeting out live-streams.

I wouldn't put too much thought into it.

When they've gotten a couple of more IS mechs out, I'd love to see the Black Lanner. First Clan mech I ever laid eyes on, and something of a soft-spot for me.

Blasphemer. =P

The crusader was the workhorse of the star league armies. And the wasp and stinger together were the single most produced mechs ever.

Honestly though, it would be cool if they'd release a multi mech pack of Wasps and Stingers.

I'd personally favor just about any other light. Or medium, for that matter. But let me ask you an honest question, Scrap... WHY do people want the Wasp and Stinger? Short of spending a healthy chunk of change and completely changing everything about them, they're basically pre-made caskets. :(

The Crusader is a 65t heavy.

As for the Stinger & Wasp... I'd have to go with Nostalgia because they're some of the originals.

Using my contacts in the CIA I have "influenced" Russ to announce the Nightstar! (His mistress was key!) #Truestory

CIA wouldn't do much good... Try CSIS...

As it stands, I'd say even money on either the Crusader or Bushwacker.

I think it might be another 3025 mech that can be used in the coming BT game.

The Javelin has fans & is 3025 but it's a light & ppl don't value lights as much but it has been a long time since a light came out.

The Assassin, it'd be a second IS 40t mech & has fans as well. I think it's safe from the issue of barely being a med as the Viper was just released.

The Crusader is 3025, unseen, has fans, etc. It is a 65t mech with lots of missiles but it has some notable differences between it & the Catapult.

The Charger would be a lot of fun. Give it an XL & useable lasers/etc & it could be pretty strong.

*Chuckles* Oh, I recall the Crusader quite well. I was referring solely to light and medium class mechs, as I'm pretty satisfied with the heavy lineup so far. I wouldn't mind seeing it though, to be sure.

Thanks for talking the Stinger/Wasp query, though. In all the time I've played tabletop, I've NEVER found a niche for them, so I'm always curious when they're brought up fondly by others.

I'm going to agree that they're not that "good" 'mechs in any circumstances where you're not thrown 'mechs from RAT's and such. Especially, the Phoenix Hawk is just a massive upgrade in that 6/9/6 scout mech role. By comparison, I've always felt that the Locust is a "better design" among 20-tonners, in that heavier 8/12 competitors like the Cicada do a worse job in inmproving capability. Between the speed, the decent armament (especially the 1E) and max armour for the weight bracket, the Locust is a beautiful design to me, Stinger/Wasp not so much.

As far as MWO -- what they have going for them is the lore/nostalgia factor. They're described as the two most common 'mechs in the IS. I'm sure opinions vary on whether this should matter in terms of whether they're included -- IMO as long as this is "A BattleTech" game, it should matter. Also, while this may be unimaginable to the single-mindedly competitive players, my feeling is that we have lots of people who'd welcome a "hard-mode" 'mech to challenge them. You'll find lots of these people in that massive "underrated Locust" thread.
