I think that YOUR definition of sometime and PGI's is a bit different.

As to the FP round table - Derek is working on a summary doc of the best thoughts and ideas and what we feel is our best path.
We will meet on that document sometime fairly soon then we will circle back to the community on our intentions. ETA ~2 weeks.

Patch notes:
Multiple Drop Decks

Hotfix
Regarding the inability to edit Drop Decks while in Faction Play lobbies
With the introduction of Multiple Drop Decks in the August 23rd patch, players have been unable to edit their Drop Decks while lobbied for Faction Play Matches. While the work required to restore this functionality has not been completed in time for this hot fix, we are planning to restore Drop Deck editing in the Faction Play lobby in the September 20th patch

Planning to do a podcast with NGNG next week regarding Faction Play
Also look for an official post tomorrow announcing a second hotfix sometime next week with changes for mini map and drop deck editing.
correction: it has been rightly suggested to me that the FP event should wait until after the hotfix which fixes several Drop deck bugs.
This means we will delay our FP event until the following weekend.
Edit: Addeded Russ Aug 30 tweets.

it's not about buckets it's about a game mode that just bores the tears out of people who are looking for something different.
there needs to be in game objectives that actually mean something.
radar bases that help the occupying team, drop bases that mean an assault doesn't have to walk 5 mins to get to the battle, a fluid battle map not just choke points that SUCK. you reading this pgi CHOKE POINTS SUCK!!!
make a map and accompanying game mode that actually works and people will play the game not get bored with the same thing over and over and over and over again. ad friggen nausium.
the only thing that drags people back to this pile are freebies.

Aye, this is what I'm getting at.
Which suggestions, can we have any details or hints as to what this includes?

My bet:
The combining of buckets (which is all Russ really wanted), and a nerf to long tom to placate the folks who actually participated in the Round Table. That is what I think we will get...in a month or two. Details will be provided in patch notes before the changes happen, with a mention of the changes (maybe) in next months road map.

On a serious note, I don't think it's realistic to expect a roundtable meeting to lead to visible development in less than say 4-5 months. Remember that every patch is made several weeks before release, planned longer before that, and this roundtable was just a collection of loosely framed ideas for improvements, there is significant work to be done before those ideas could be sheduled. And supposedly there will be more meetings first as well.
That doesn't excuse the sorry state of FW by any means, just saying that it's not reasonable to argue the roundtable itself hasn't lead anywhere after just a month.

Not expecting major changes in a month. How about a plan? How a vision?

At this stage I am resigned to only playing when my friends are online and with my PC issues yesterday it has made me question whether to reinstall immediately or take a break for a little while. Abscence makes the heart grow fonder........maybe.

Absence may make the heart grow fonder but when you come back and see the same stale game play, you will stay for a bit and relise there are better things to do and never come back again.
