No, its broken and will remain broken until P.G.I change the way it works, then only then is a reset of any value, and even then it's probably not worth the effort.

Run an alt account and you'll see why.

Mine had one game to get to T4 from T5 then I was T3 before my cadet achievement C-bill bonus was completed.

The whole thing has less value than a bucket of Pigswill

This was caused by PGI listening to 'top bucket' players complaining about wait times, so PSR has been developed so that everyone one day will be T1

Another one of those problems where P.G.I listened to the players, and gets flak for it

Pilot BV using granular statistics/data that includes more than just damage, kills etc and is broken down by chassis. Each mech you own could have your "Pilot BV" in it added to the thumbnail to let you know where about you'll "tier" for match making and base pilot match ups with that.

A pure reset will just result in the haves seal-clubbing the have nots for awhile until the "tiers" or whatever new system they use, stretches us out some more and they'll still have to mix tiers a bit to have enough people to pull from to have quick enough match times.

It might help salve some egos, but in the end, you'll come right back to where we are.

I'd argue that making the game more immersive, making FP have an actual point etc and getting people more invested in the experience (helping to therefore retain new players, bring back some old ones etc) would help the game and MM-balance more-so than just a reset at this point, but the former requires significant work.

No point in resetting PSR unless you address the problem that it is mostly just an experience bar. Even then, low populations always leave large gaps in MM.

Reset PSR and....

Take away the ability to advance, if doing bad or mediocre in a win.

Make doing bad in a loss have a severe penalty.

edit: Also, get rid of that STUPID boost new players get. They should not be advancing out of T5 in a few matches. That is so dumb, make them earn it.

There ARE people that are good at the game stuck in T5 due to their sheer number of matches they played when they were bads, making the amount of change per match barely noticeable. On the other side, there's me. I'm not a great pilot. I'm mediocre. But I ran laser vomit for awhile and rocketed up to T2. I'm now stuck here, despite the fact that most of my matches are supposedly negative in regards to PSR, due to me running around with lore builds. There are people in both camps who probaby shouldn't be where they are right now, and I don't see the harm in a reset. I don't think it should be top priority either, but I wouldn't oppose it.

Bad is bad... only special snowflakes stay in T5
