how long does it usually take to get accepted into the beta?

Does the NDA really cover something that doesn't even pertain to the actual design of the game?

If you buy a Founders Pack you are guaranteed access on August 7th. Other than that you have to wait for open beta.

Mouse and keyboard is all you need but there will be full support for joysticks as well .

I'm gonna say yes, since Razor has that official MWO joystick control package.

They've got the razer joystick comming special for this game so... yes.
